  • The Sony Playstation entered the video games market because Nintendo two-timed Sony. In the mid early 90s, Nintendo wanted to compete with Sega's MegaCD add-on, so they enlisted Sony to create a CD-ROM add-on kit for the SNES. Not being content with the price provided by Sony, they quietly enlist Philips to create an add-on as well, intending to ditch Sony if Philips' add-on was cheaper and reaches them sooner. Sony found out what was happening, bought out of their deal with Nintendo, revamped the add-on into a full-fledged console, and entered the market primarily to challenge Nintendo. In other words, Nintendo has created it's very own rival.
  • The removal of OtherOS from the PS 3 has resulted in a number of lawsuits and returns for Sony.
  • Region Coding, the locking of game and video media so that it would not play outside the region the media is produced in, usually creates Hatedom to some degree.

I do not see it fair that the above entries are removed. Firstly, the first Playstation entry is already on the SNESCDROM page (and said entry was made by another troper). Secondly, all three entries are facts. These entries also make no mention of bootlegging or any other illegal means, meaning that they shold be good to go.

I don't question their factuality; I question their relevance. Their connection to the trope is extremely strained.

132 is the rudest number.
