Is this really a trope? What with it having nothing to do with world building or narrative, shouldn't it be classed rather as trivia?
If it's classed as a trope it's likely to become the single most common trope on video games, seeing how barely no game released these days don't have some kind of downloadable additions.

Why is there no mention of The TS 2/TS 3? The amount of downloadable content is *huge*.

Then add it to the article. General people don't know what TS2 even means.
Is it actually necessary to just have dry lists of each game's DLC, even in cases where the list isn't interesting and doesn't illustrate any particular point about the use of the trope? That's more something for The Other Wiki. This seems to be begging for "Only list notable, controversial, or unusual examples."
