some recent toys/ 'wares do a motion-sensitive Improv, tosynth- generate a nice tune from synchro-ing to your environment or motions [via various input, like a cellphone cam, etc, as i recall] — {{link forthcoming, i hope...}} . . . thus, allowing this trope a Real Life version : ... as one shifts from travel to a conversational encounter, they get the first-person - protagonist's POV via a narrative-flow synaesthesia with this device's feedback, generating the wearers' media-awareness of their theme / Back Ground Music from literally generating their own soundtrack, to merely listening, or but hearing it, as their frame of mind shifts, heh-heh ... - course, if i could fing the dang bookmark in my vast collection of links, in these overstuffed, but thematic folders . . . time i upgraded the AI, eh?

The trope description claims this trope is unidrectional - only from diegetic to non-diegetic. Is the reverse a separate trope, or should both switches be the same thing?

Watch out where you step, or we'll be afoot.
