Is this a good example of this trope?
So there's this girl, who acts as her not-love interest's Living Emotional Crutch. He loves her, and she is painfully aware of this. But they eventually become Fire-Forged Friends. Just Friends. As she so frequently likes to remind him. And that's all he can ever hope to be. Seems like she's just cutting him down every chance she gets, until it turns out not doing so and giving him a wrong idea would pretty much turn him into a full-blown Yandere.
