Shouldn't Tyrion be an example of Create Your Own Hero? Daenerys isn't a villain and Cersei is, though on a lesser scale than Joffrey and the High Sparrow
The Tony Stark examples under MCU are getting a little hard to read. Maybe split them off from the rest? Or make an entire folder?

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry Pratchett- Yami Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh! became Yami Yugi/Pharaon Atem's archnemesis after Yami Yugi in his past life in Ancient Egypt raided Yami Bakura's home village.
This is in no way an example; it's not accurate. Set's father led the raid on the village of thieves to gain the blood and souls needed to forge the Millenium Items. Yami/Atem's father didn't even know that it had happened until after the fact. Once he learned, he offered his life in restitution for the massacre, his death bringing Yami to the throne. The child who would become Thief Master Bakura was the only survivor, and Yami's father sacrificed his life when Bakura was an adult. Think of how old the young Yami must have been when the massacre took place.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettIs there an opposite trope to this one—a Create Your Own Hero, where the villain inadvertently creates his/her own nemesis?
"But... nobody told me I needed a signature!" Hide / Show RepliesYou're right! It should have a more universal term. Maybe, "Make My Destroyer."
I think this trope may be in need of repair. There seem to be a lot of entries that are just the hero stopping a villain when they were small time and the villain swearing revenge rather than any malice or neglect on the part of the hero ultimately causing the villain to commit crimes.
Is this limited to Superheroes, or anyone?
"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it." Hide / Show RepliesAnyone. It's a basic trope about character development and unintended effects of the protagonists' actions.
Mm. If you excuse me, I must go set my own city on fire. Count Selvan, Radiant Historia
Can we please add something about Nintendo and Sega pissing off Sony and that leading to the creation of the PS 1?
