I don't understand the page quote. Isn't it well-established that the Holiday Special was struck from canon?

George Lucas hated it, but that's not quite the same thing. Actually, he's avoided talking about it and there doesn't seem to be anything definitive in the way of canon status. You can make the case that it's full canon based on that, or the case that it's not canon because Lucas has practically disowned it, or the case that it's semi-canon because the Expanded Universe refers to it, or just throw your hands up and invoke the MST3K Mantra on it all.
All that said, we could probably do with a better page quote. This one isn't illustrating continuity porn, really, as it seems to imply the Holiday Special must be treated as canon and that this somehow shows that continuity is bad, which is demonstrably not the case.
I noticed people putting this in the YMMV pages of a few articles. When did this become YMMV? Did it ever become YMMV? If so, why? It does not make sense, partially because the current stance is that it is NOT YMMV. I am fixing it right now on every article I find.
