Feel free to edit the example. Pride and courage are just more positive variants of cockiness and boisterousness, after all.
Given that the "Gallic rooster" symbol is officially embraced by the people of France, I believe it would be more accurate to say that it symbolises the positive qualities associated with roosters (pride, courage, and scrappiness). Well, that and being a Latin pun (Gallus meaning both "Gaul" and "rooster".)
