Someone restored it, so I've removed it again. I've also removed these ones from Live Action TV and Video Games, because they are all examples of Alien Blood rather than this trope.
- Cardassians are shown to have black blood in Star Trek. This extends to other forms of animal life on Cardassia, such as the raw taspar egg that Picard ate in "Chain of Command" Part II.
- In Farscape, when a Luxan becomes wounded, a quirk of their physiology requires that their blood, which flows black at first, must flow until it turns translucent. Otherwise, the blood will become toxic and kill them.
- Warcraft orcs bleed black, or at least they're supposed to; various depictions have them bleeding black, bleeding red, or bleeding a very dark red that looks very close to black.
The True Blood example might need to go as well. (I didn't see much of the show, but I'm pretty sure they used normal red blood, so if there was a specific case of black blood, it was presumably for reasons of plot rather than censorship).
Removed quote:
because it adds absolutely nothing to the page and isn't even an example of this trope.
