I think a different page quote should be used. Yeah, in-context the Frozen quote is a perfect example (sort of), but I think it does need to be seen to be completely understood. We can switch back to the Hellblazer/My Little Pony quote, or find a new one, but I do think the Frozen quote needs to be replaced.

Qui odoratus est qui fecit.

Hey! The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged one is in here twice! Once attributed to Chuck Colson and listed under Jokes, and the other attributed to John Rogers and filed under Real Life!

And Zoidberg is leaving an item out of a group.

This trope is about switching comparisons.

Ah, it looks like a recent split. That's why I was confused.

I found an example of this trope on Tumblr. I'm not sure if it should be included, so I'm putting it here in case:

Reblog for Bill Cipher.
Ignore for Donal Trump.
The Switch to the bait and switch:
You're seriously making me choose between a horrible demon bent on destroying everything he touches, and Bill Cipher?

So who made this joke first? Probably one of the three cited another, but let's sort it out.

  • Raj Patel, from his book The Value of Nothing: How to Reshape Market Society and Redefine Democracy:
"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord Of The Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."
  • Christian conservative Chuck Colson did this in his criticism of Atlas Shrugged:
"There are two novels that could change a bookish 14-year old's live, The Lord Of The Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One's a childish fantasy that often engenders a life-long obsessions with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood; unable to deal with the real world. The other of course, involve orcs."
    • Actually, that was liberal writer and Nobel-winning economist Paul Krugman.

Can I tell you a joke that uses this (That I made up)?

TS stands for both Teta Sixties and The Simsons. One is like a cancer THAT EATS AT YOUR SOUL UNTIL YOU ARE NOTHING LEFT BUT A CRIPPLED MONSTER! And the other is just a fancy nickname I made up for this joke for Crack! xD
