I'm seeing a slight problem with the examples presented on the page, especially the real-life ones. The trope description defines this as being more about deliberate design features taken either to discourage bailing out, or simply as potential oversight on the work's part if unintended.

Most of the real-life examples listed are broader in scope due to applying the real-world meaning of the phrase "armored coffin" instead of the narrower trope meaning. The closest trope I can think of that better fits those general examples would be Tanks for Nothing.

Small problem with that though: That's one of the "No Real Life Examples, Please!" tropes, so moving inappropriate uses of this trope there wouldn't be appropriate either.

As for other options? Redefining this trope to be broader in scope seems redundant given Tanks for Nothing is adequate enough for fictional examples, but deleting the real-life examples that don't fall under this trope would be a bit extreme. Other than that, aside from pointing out a relation to the other trope on this page (which I decided was the only action I'd take, leaving other steps to better-qualified tropers), and perhaps treating Armored Coffins as a subtrope of Tanks for Nothing might work too.

This tropes seems a little off considering Mechs are almost entirely ground vehicles. Real life Tanks don't have ejector seats either as far as I'm aware.
