Looking for a 1980 Japanese cartoon similar to "The Little Prince", but I have forgotten the title. I only remember fragments of the cartoon. Evil witch had a son. The son was a troll that no girl would want to marry. So the evil witch held a girl captive in castle to marry her son, the troll. The evil witch hypnotized and/or cast a spell on the girl that concealed her son's ugliness. When the girl looked at the son she only saw beauty. Evil witch placed white, adult-sized paper dolls in the wedding chapel pews. She then verbally casted a spell and the paper dolls came to life sitting upright in the pews. Now the wedding had guests. There was a little boy who was to rescue the girl from marrying the troll-son, but I have forgotten how he does so. Another scene that I remember is that when the boy does rescue the girl the evil witch casts a spell for darkness to chase and engulf them. Darkness is a beautiful woman with extremely long black hair that flies. As she flies her hair brings night. Darkness also has a sister. Light has extremely long white hair and she too can fly. When she flies her long white hair brings day. Light is the good sister. Darkness is evil. Light carries the boy and girl in her arms as she flies across the sky, but Darkness soon catches up with them and engulfs the boy, girl and Light with her cloak of night. Anyone seen this cartoon?
