I agree. I have rewritten the intro to the article to explain the historical developments of the Eastern and Western action/RPG traditions and help differentiate them some more. I furthermore suggest a soft split of the list into sections for Eastern Action RP Gs (which are a genre of its own) and Western RP Gs with action elements, further subdivided into three categories I identified (though it could be more). What does everyone think?
Shonen King 69 three months ago replaced the index of works with that of Western RPG, probably by mistaken pasting. I'm trying to undo the damage.
The one part of the old list I did away with was the soft-split section "Borderline (has random battles which are action-based)." This was not only poorly defined but poorly marked and hence largely overlooked.

I think that the definition here is flawed. The main article notes that Action RP Gs are essentially a "subset of Eastern RP Gs" but this is actually not supported by the games listed, which include Alpha Protocol and Deus Ex (descended from Western RP Gs and Shooters) and Diablo (arguably a combination of Rogue, Gauntlet, and traditional Western RP Gs with negligible Eastern influence).
