I'm not sure what this trope is describing. Is it just a science-fiction work with no mention of Earth?

I think so. Star wars never mentioned earth, and that takes place in a galaxy far far away, where the trope title came from. Ratchet and clank never mentioned earth either.

It is a world where Earth as we know it could very well exist but it never mentioned and has no role in the story.

Not sure of the difference between this and Constructed World
Edited by Bosco13
Could we do another subcategory for where Earth exists but we visit Another Dimension that has multiple planets but no Earth equivalent. I'm thinking dimensions like the Ngetavive Zone from Fantastic Four and the parallel universes in Dragon Ball Super.
