Is this still correct? Hasn't Big Finish referenced the novels as having taken place in "main" continuity for a while now (they even had a Fitz audio a while back, from memory)? Or is that what was meant by "with a few exceptions", sorry?

"This series marked the first time that the Doctor was not portrayed as straight". Give or take a granddaughter, wasn't the Doctor generally portrayed as asexual right up until the TV Movie?
