Is "The Ember Island Players" "Funny Aneurysm" Moment or Hilarious in Hindsight? I've seen it listed as both, but I'd go for the latter.
Edited by Dghcrh I'm mainly a fan of underrated media. What happened to the Adventure Time examples? They seem to have been deleted for no reason.
Hide / Show RepliesDoes the Animaniacs example really count? I mean it's not like they actually mentioned anything death-related in the skit. There's no real connection between the skit and his death, so how does that make it a "Funny Aneurysm" Moment?
I'm a Troper!!! Hide / Show Replies"**** Oh, it gets even worse in the same scene: One of the cabinet members is complaining to the titular presidential chimpanzee about a welfare bill that's "full of technical jargon, partison retoric and" ...something else that ended up not being said before the chimpanzee assaults the cabinet member in question at that moment. Considering the mess that Obama's proposed health care reform turned out to be, including a lot of incoherent laws and the law being passed under circumstances that were strongly suspected to be partisanship-related ("You have to pass the bill to see what's in it."), its hard to watch and not be reminded of the fiasco that Obamacare is causing."
This is not political slander. This is a genuine fact. This was mentioned in various places in PJTV, Breitbart, I think WMD, and heck, even some DEMOCRATS in the House and Senate are starting to disagree with the bill, as well as calling Obama out on the issue, especially after he essentially bullied the Supreme Court after he learned they wouldn't be voting in support of the bill.
Some of these are pretty far-fetched, and a few reach Nostradamus levels of having to mine for a parallel between a cartoon and a real-world event. It needs a thorough purge.
"Paw Patrol is one show that itself could now count as this trope due to this news story involving something you'd rather not think about involving dogs, which makes the premise of the show a bit cringe-worthy." Am I missing something? Is that the wrong news story? Is there some deep PAW Patrol lore that I need to know to understand how this news story effects the show? Because as it stands, the story has as much to do with PAW Patrol as it does with any other show with dogs. What does grown men dressing up as dogs have to do with Transformer dogs doing superhero-type things?
