If he did, it's never said or indicated, so I think it's safe to say he didn't.
It's been a while since I watched the movie, but doesn't Gwen call out "Peter!" just as Electro regains consciousness?
If just knowing people named "Peter" was the requirement for being pulled in, i am sure a lot more people would have been much bigger, it required knowing his identity specifically. I've heard he could have figured it out from the grid, but that seems like a Handwave at best.
Edited by AMassiveOvereditorWillem Dafoe's involvement with the film has been confirmed through the trades post-teaser in the same way that Jamie Foxx's and Alfred Molina's were pre-teaser. While I agree with leaving Thomas Hayden Church and Rhys Ifans out of the description until then, I think that Dafoe should still be listed.
Hide / Show RepliesAlso, there's a certain big spoiler that the film's promotion has tried hard to hide, but the page repeatedly treats it like it's not even a spoiler. Yet a much less important cameo is spoilered. Does that seem odd to anyone else? I think both should be spoilered.
We should probably come up with a consistent way to differentiate between Holland, Maguire, and Garfield's Peters/Spider-Men. I'm seeing several different naming conventions across the various pages for the movie and it's all rather confusing.
Edited by freeterYeah, that's a mess. Some subpages, notably, have rampant use of Characterization Tags which aren't authorized.
The movie does use "Peter 1", "Peter 2" and "Peter 3", though I fear that's not clear at all.
It's not, IMO.
Call 'em MCU Peter/Spider-Man, Raimi Peter/Spider-Man, and, of course, Amazing Peter/Spider-Man.
I support referring to them by film franchise or even by actor. Using the numbers is going to confuse people who haven't seen it because the numbering doesn't match the order their movies came out - for example, MCU Peter is Peter 1, not Raimi Peter.
Edited by Vandagyre I don't actually have any Bumblebee icons, I just think the nickname is funny.I think Tom!Peter, Andrew!Peter, and Tobey!Peter might work for that.
@harryhenry Except Characterization Tags aren't allowed per TV Tropes' editing rules.
Also, referring to characters by the actor's names IS strongly frowned upon too (just check How Not to Write an Example). All such mentions will need to be purged of the page sooner or later.
Would MCU Spider-Man, Raimiverse Spider-Man, and Webbverse Spider-Man work for names?
^I guess that's the best compromise, since each movie series lack a definite, agreed-upon title.
I would favor writing it "Raimi-verse" and "Webb-verse", but that's a personal thing.
^^ I like those, but do we really need to write "MCU Spider-Man" given that this is an MCU film? I'd go with Spider-Man, Raimi-verse Spider-Man and Webb-verse Spider-Man.
Edited by AsherinkaWe use "MCU Spider-Man" whenever there is a need to disambiguate the three in an example for clarity. Most examples pertaining to the first two-third of the movie can just use "Spider-Man" or "Peter Parker", with the easy assumption it's the main protagonist we're talking about.
Why can't we add a short little note briefly explaining the numbering system for reference?
Highly collectible. Buy two.A little note wouldn't help casual readers who miss it (besides being a spoiler). A page must be written with the largest number of readers in mind.
Should we also spoiler tag the other Peters? It's left unspoiled even though it's been kept as a secret in the advertising (despite all the leaks).
Edited by harryhenryThere's a note now on the page, but yes, the existence of the other Peters should get spoiler tags.
Hello! Is it okay for me to talk about The Multiversal Visitors including about the Sequel Hook?
Hide / Show RepliesAs this would concern an incoming movie, such mention would fit more in the page for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness than here.
Regarding Meaningful Background Event. How is Norman filling his pockets with donuts a sign that Green Goblin is in control, exactly? I don't remember GG being a big donut fiend, nor was he much in the way of the Poke the Poodle.
Seems like anyone in Norman's situation, who's been trapped in a strange city for several days with nowhere to go nothing to eat and no evident way back home on the horizon would try to get his hands on as much food as possible.
Edited by Eagal You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! Hide / Show RepliesYeah, I'm really not seeing it either. Funny Background Event, definitely. But calling this a sign that the Goblin is in control is really stretching things, especially given how Peter's Spider-Sense reacted to the Goblin regaining control in Happy's apartment.
Is Electro knowing Spider man is peter parker a plot hole? He was never given this information in his movie, and he only comments on peter's appearance when he's cured, so by all means, shouldn't he not have been pulled in?
