Too much of a Thread Mode and Examples Are Not Arguable.

  • Anti-Villain: Arguably the Horseman. Although he is behind the many decapitations occurring in the town, he is under the control of the true villain, and thus, is just doing their bidding until Ichabod is able to have him regain his head and rightful mind.
    • Although, that said, the reason why he was killed in the first place was because he was a Blood Knight Omnicidal Maniac. There is a very good reason that every time he rides out, he comes from the depths of Hell!
      • Death Equals Redemption perhaps...?
      • Plus it appears as though even in life he had some standards. Instead of killing the future Lady Van Tassel and her twin sister when he was fleeing from a group of soldiers, he instead just hushed them, where it would have been so much easier to just lop their heads off.

Fake Nationality is a Trivia item. The context is not very clear.

  • Fake Brit: Johnny Depp as Crane, though to be fair he's from New York in 1799.
    • Technically, every major character in the movie with the exception of the Hessian Horseman would have been born a Brit (if you date the foundation of the US to the Treaty of Paris in 1783)
    • Although most of the characters are actually Dutch. And it gets very confusing as some of the English actors also trying to do American accents as well.
