The barrels in question were ignited by an existing fire (caused by leaked flammables from shot barrels and sparks from the shot spotlight). Barrels being launched in such a fashion is not unknown; it's actually well-documented with several filmed occurrences. Basically, it's a BLEVE in a very small container, and the floor of the barrel blows out, launching the barrel body. All in all, the bullet is incorrect.
