Under the Wicked Pretentious entry, someone claims that the Penguin was born deformed due to inbreeding and the parents disposed of him not only because he was a freak but to avoid scandal. I have never heard about this and the film certainly doesn't say or imply anything about inbreeding, so where did this come from? Is it official or did a troper just insert his own headcanon into the entry?

I wonder why everybody thinks that the Penguin died poisoned. Ok, he fell into the water, but the water couldn't possibly be toxic, since we keep seeing penguins swimming in it until the end. Cobblepot loved them, called them his babies : he wouldn't let them die that way. I think the toxic byproducts were safely kept into a pool we never actually saw, behind the "Arctic World", and the waters were safe. So, the Penguin died of heatstroke and internal injuries after falling about fifty feet high... Please, tell me if I'm wrong (and if I made many mistakes writing this : English is not my native language).
