On the deletion of a specific fan fiction "The Truth": Samari45 recently added this entry in its section:

"I don't think this is good enough to be here. The grammar isn't very good and there's no sense of pacing. This troper is a big fan of stories where Shinichi tells Ran the truth, but this story just doesn't have the quality of the others here."

On the Fanfic Recs main page, it says:

"Bear in mind that recommendations are subjective, so if you want to question or discuss any given recommendation you should do so on the appropriate discussion page."

Thus I have created this thread with the intention that if a number of people agree on deleting this rec, we should...delete it. I have no idea what the actual rules on this are, as the main Fanfic Recs page offers the matter as 'subjective'. If there IS a specific rule, please tell me. The original person who made the rec, ilikecats, does not have a troper page and probably cannot be contacted.

My personal opinion upon viewing multiple chapters of this fic (I've only ever seen the first chapter before) is that the author got some of their stuff together after chapter one, such as figuring out the beauty of past tense, but I still don't see it on an equal level with any of the other fics here, and thus I also nominate it for deletion. Samari45 (quoted above) has also shared their disapproval. If you feel like adding your opinion to this conversation, please feel free to do so. Thanks!

I am going to vote keep on the grounds that trying to apply an objective standard (even one of "so many people agree") to quality is above the pages' (and the wiki's) purpose.
