OK, we need a disambiguation (I think that's the term for a "main page that describes different works with the same name") page for this. People don't want to come to TV Tropes to find a somewhat interesting Reality TV show and get directed to a fan fic about some halfass Hunger Games knockoff. I'd do it, but just making the 72 Hours page is stretching my wiki-fu.

Hang on, how could Battle Royale be a Hunger Games knock off when it came 10 years before it? Unless you're trolling, rather than misinformed.

....

The author of the fic wrote this, didn't he? I can tell by the epic egotism and self-pimpage of his other works, and from having seen quite a few failpages in my time.

I'm inclined to agree, especially when it comes to the part where it claims to be considered "the best Battle Royale fanfiction ever written". Even if it were actually a very good story

, it seems highly unlikely that one story is universally considered as the best, or even considered that way by the majority, since the idea of an entire fandom agreeing on anything fan-made is wishful thinking at best. In all likelihood, one or two people reviewed this story on Fanfiction.net and called this the best piece of Battle Royale fanfiction ever written. Either that or there was never much competition to begin with.

Upon looking at the page history, it would appear that every single trope was added by someone going by "Lady Momus". I'm guessing either a sockpuppet or someone who knows the author in real life. Alternately, it could be the one person who called this the best Battle Royale fanfiction ever.

Actually, I wrote the majority of this page, and I'm currently crafting a rival work, though I do remain a huge fan of 72 Hours. (I'm not Marston, my FF.net nickname is the same as the one here) The edit history has been purged since I wrote it, but I promise you, I did it. Lady Momus has only gotten rid of the old ptitles, which are now cutlisted. She's showing up as the editor because she moved the tropes over to the non-ptitled page. I have no idea who added the part about his book, since it was months ago, but that also wasn't the author. It was talked about in BR forums that he'd actually written a book, and someone saw fit to add it to the page.
