And, of course, Hellsing Ultimate has none. As it should be.
Edited by PokeNirvash Hide / Show RepliesBut apparently it has NOW, considering someone REALLY didn't like their dig at the Salvation Army.
- Catmuto: Altering my moment to include every one of the sex-scenes currently in the series, because they have become a tad frequent. Now, three times in total may not seem like much, but given that the series was doing fine with simple implications before, three times is a big jump! I still may not like the end of Episode 34, but it made narrative sense: it explains how Trunks came into existence, something that was rather ignored in the original work. Time Skip, boom, Bulma has a baby with Vegeta. Here, it explains that the two got heated while yelling at each other, had angry sex that led to the pregnancy. Jumping to Episode 54, the joke of the Episode's end is that Roshi switches to an actual porn channel, now that Cell has given earth a deadline. An unnecessary joke, in my opinion. It doesn't add much, I don't find it very funny and the episode could end before or just implying that Roshi will now just switch to watching actual porn. And then you get Episode 55. The very next Episode. With Chichi raping Goku. I repeat: Chichi. Rapes. Goku. Not funny. At all. Quit it, Team Four Star. Not Funny + Not Funny = Not Fucking Funny!
- Calamity 2007: And they did it again in episode 55! Instead this time it was with Chi-Chi raping Goku. Repeating an uncomfortable joke doesn't make it any better.
Removed the first entry due to being multiple moments instead of one, and the Chi-Chi part being innaccurate (Kaiser confirms on twitter, as well as the following episode showing that it wasn't rape, but aggressive sex). The second entry is just repeating it when, again, it wasn't rape but aggressive sex.
Hide / Show RepliesSorry about the edit. Misunderstood the limits in which I had to edit things in this forum. Won't happen again.
Edited by KaiserNekoThat said, I am pulling the moment in question (and P Ming Catmuto) since it is still multiple moments. It initially says "same scene for me" but then goes on to say that the subsequent episode is even worse which is implicitly claiming multiple DMOS:
- Catmuto: Same scene for me, because it was just a disgusting rape joke. And this comes from a team that, overall, has done a great job of improving their work over the previous seasons and just flat-out fall into this low-brow 'joke' territory all of a sudden? And it got worse in Episode 56, in my opinion. Krillin points out that Goku can say No to Chichi, who seems to constantly demand sex from him now. Goku knows that, but says that this is a challenge for him to overcome and deal with. It comes across as a very weak, and dumb, excuse from TFS to tell the fanbase that it's not actually as bad as it comes across.
I'm going to contest Catmuto's entry. First off, they list more than one moment as a Dethroning Moment, which if I remember correctly is frowned upon. Second, they claim that Chi-Chi raped Goku when Word of God insists that that's not the case. And third, the whole "Chi-Chi rapes Goku" thing is already listed as a DMOS.
Something needs to be done about this.
Did anyone get the impression from Abridgimon that Tai actually raped his sister or Gabumon? When both moments were brought up, everybody was really vague about the details. For all we know Tai just exposed himself like with Izzy. That alone would warrant a restraining order.
Judging from episode 10 of Final Fantasy Abridged, it seems like they knew how fucked up the prison rape joke is. It was just meant to show how messed up Tifa is. Come to think of it, the fans were disturbed, Barnett was disturbed, Cloud was disturbed. It wasn't actually treated as comedy, was it?
Hide / Show RepliesDoesn't matter, it's not cause to remove someone else's opinion on it.
Why would Guru's death be a Dethroning moment. Letting him die in peace after admitting he had used Albino Namekians as a scape goat for his own wrongdoing, woulda been a worse one since he pretty much got away with it without any retaliation.
Hide / Show RepliesYou don't have to be offended. It's their own opinion, you could have a different views than the troper. I think what he meant is that the way Guru died is a bit too gruesome (Being eaten by the Namekians in the worst way possible).
I wait...what!? since when the f*cking other hell is calling someone Aryan racist? Sure it's associated with the Nazis but how is that "reverse-racist"
reverse-racist? is that even a word?
HOLY ACIDTRIP! Hide / Show RepliesNot such thing as reverse-racism, really. It's just plain old racism. As for the "Aryan" thing, I don't think calling someone that is offensive or racist. It strikes me as a case of Hitler Ate Sugar.
It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane."Aryan" has Nazi associations, so I can see how it could be insulting to call one that.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanEven then calling that a dethroning moment is just plain stupid. Shardis is a Drill Sergeant Nasty in the Abridged version. Those guys are known to try to break and motivate recruits by any means necessary and are not afraid to use personal or racial insults on them to see how they react to it. R, Lee Ermy for example in Full Metal Jacket, intentionally pulled the race card twice to see if his recruits who were comprised of almost every race, would either call him out or attack him.
"Ecclytennysmithylove: As a fangirl who finds Team Four Star’s Attack on Titan Abridged pretty funny, the DMOS for me was where, during the training orientation, Shadis called Armin an “Aryan coconut" when asking him for his name. I know that by “coconut”, that is a Shout-Out to the character Coconut Head from Neds Declassified School Survival Guide (mind you, I don’t watch that show), but the word “Aryan” made me facepalm because it sounded like as if Team Four Star is offending all the blonde-hair-blue-eyed people all over the world. My advice to Team Four Star: Don’t be a reverse-racist!"
...
"Reverse-racist." Sigh. No...just-- just...no.
Secondly, using "Aryan" as a slur against people with blonde hair and blue eyes is a bit of a stretch, since it's not even in common parlance as a slur to begin with.
Edited by 71.168.114.32 Hide / Show RepliesOkay, I'll give you the "reverse-racist" thing is... not well thought out, but if using the word Aryan really is a dethroning moment to someone, well, it's their opinion.

Cutting this.
As noted on the Dethroning Moment of Suck page, "A Moment may be removed if it is blatantly untrue". Calling Blub Blub innocent and harmless is blatantly untrue as the movie shows him happily attacking innocents
