We need tropes or at least some kind of commentary that only we and not imdb can give. This guy has a very distinctive catalogue of films with a (for want of a better word) "quirkiness" that quickly identifies it as one of his (which makes me wonder how in the hell the Chronicles Of Narnia ended up in here- they were made by the guy who directed Shrek and he's from New Zealand). Several specific realisations of this "quirkiness" as probably tropes- the dialogue, the scene comparisons, the settings. There's a tendency to use particular actors (Bill Murray, Luke and Owen Wilson) and he collaborates in writing with Owen Wilson a lot.
