OK, splitting hairs and somewhat pedantic, I suppose, but I won't reinstate the deletions... mindful of Flame War, even though the stated reason is... well.... doubtful.

How, exactly? Stating, factually, that MB was right-wing conservative Establishment - he went to Eton for goodness' sake - and that he had British Intelligence links - which are documented - is both relevant and uncontentious. This is relevant because it adds illumination to some of the (rare) political digressions in his published books. It is also presented neutrally without any censure or criticism. It also makes him a rarity in British post-war comedy - a genuinely funny creative genius whose politics are of the right. So rare it's worth documenting for that fact alone!
Also, the lines about his feud with the BBC are in several other pages on TVT and are allowed to stand there as both relevant and informative, so what's the difficulty here?
Still tempted to reinsert. Resisting.
