Can we please restore the context to Lukeman Magic Poker Equation. Its turned from a specif sequence improbably drawn to 'x uses cards a lot'
Its not what the trope is
It does technically count as a loss for Luke. While The☆Lukeman was the one in control, he was using Luke’s body and deck to duel, no different from how Atem duels through Yugi or how the duels Nightshroud would take part in through Atticus and Yusuke would still count as duels they were apart of.
Also, I never said it wasn’t uncommon, but that labeling The☆Lukeman pulling off the same combo as his Signature Move was a misuse of the trope.
“This is your story. You decide where it starts and how it ends”. Hide / Show RepliesIm just wondering about the other edits you removed when you started this fight about moves.
I started this fight? I only removed Signature Move because it was a misuse of the trope. I’ve already explained why The☆Lukeman pulling off that same combo doesn’t apply, even providing a few examples for how this trope is used for other characters, but as always, you ignored it in favor of your Insane Troll Logic.
Edited by Jackpot21 “This is your story. You decide where it starts and how it ends”.You also removed Arb skepticism about how Lukeman notabky averted it and the parts to Mimi on how her Ace trope apolies to her dueling.
Also you first acted like the problem was the cards, missing how I explained it was using the cards in that sequence. It was so off kilter i put it back because I legit thought you misunderstood me and was treating 'Fusion Summon' as thr sig move
I removed those entries because of misuse. The☆Lukeman never makes any mention of Yuga’s odds at drawing the card he’d need. Listing Mimi’s dueling record under The Ace is not only irrelevant but also makes it sound like the entry to be arguing against itself.
The trope is called Signature Move, not Signature Combo. That’s like calling Kite’s Arc-V counterpart’s strategy to summon two Cipher Wing’s, then double their levels to Xyz Summon his Cipher Dragon as his Signature Move. Like I said before, that trope applies to a specific card heavily associated with the character using it, not using the same cards in a repeated sequence. Did you even read through what the trope entails or any entries from the previous series?
Edited by Jackpot21 “This is your story. You decide where it starts and how it ends”.I do, which is why I knew you were being bumpkis. Signature Move is something like 'Yuma + Utopia + Double Up Chance'.
And the points were raised about the odds of drawing a card being zero 'when compared to what happened to the Lukeman'.
...Oh, and I am going to read you the description of 'The Worf Effect'.
Want a quick way to show how dangerous one of your unknown characters is? Simple, make them do well or win in a fight with a character that the audience already knows is tough. This establishes them as willing to fight and marks them as sufficiently dangerous.
Please don't use this trope whenever someone loses a fight. It only applies if it serves the purpose described above.
Yeah, Yuga got worfed by Nail/Neiru, Asuna, and Yuo. Let alone all the other tropes you removed I added.
Your removal of any and all tropes I add is very, very, very annoying. You could, if you so dislike the tropes, offer a new trope instead like how Signature Combo was altered to Magical Poker Equation. If I actually 'am' misusing tropes, which I highly doubt, surely you must have a better suggestion.
So....anyone want to tell me which if any of ky attemoted tropes are bad? The Worfs the Nightmare Faces...
Removed from main page, as there is a cleanup effort on one of the pages linked here underway and I am not sure what to do with this entry:
- Instant Awesome Just Add Dragons: His deck is full of dragon monsters, including the legendary Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
Removed from main page, as there is a cleanup effort on one of the pages linked here underway and I am not sure what to do with this entry:
- Tyrannosaurus Rex: His ace monster, Super King Rex.
This is getting pretty busy. Maybe we should split into more pages for characters.
I am migrating Goha to a new page to make this less cluttered, but it has so much text that I am struggling through a net connection to actually move it.
