Look, the reason why I added that image is because it's appropriate given the C'tans current situation: They are not the C'tan from Third Edition. They no longer control the Necrons. The Necrons control them. That which were thought of as Gods are now enslaved to the people they manipulated, forced to serve as weapons of war.
I can take or leave the image; if there's official artwork of a C'tan from the new codex, that would be more appropriate to use IMO. It does need to be moved up to the description, in any case.
I've moved it. The best art I can find is probably this◊ from Shield of Baal: Exterminatus.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it Well- Determinator: In one sense, the Necrons are determined to either harvest or purge all life in the galaxy, and will wade through firefights to do so without flinching. In another sense, the standard Necron form is a walking Homage to the Terminator.
I am unsure whether this is an example of the trope (or if it was an now isn't since their retooling) as the trope page mainily focuses on the Determinator moving recently towards their goal and I think I remember instances where they have given up and weren't destroyed. The example also seems to concentrate more on physical relentlessness than anything.
Anyone have any ideas?
Knowledge is Power, Guard it Well Hide / Show RepliesI didn't think it felt right. Deleted.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellI believe that the trope entries of Arch-Enemy and Foil should be moved as they are sub and super trope to each other. The following is the simplist way that I can think of but would like some other opinions:
- Arch-Enemy: The animosity that the Necrons hold for the Aeldari, the most successful of the Old Ones’ creations, stretches back to the War in Heaven and has only grown due to their destruction of many Tomb Worlds during the aeons of the Great Sleep. While the Aeldari now have more pressing issues, the mutual enmity between the two races has led to brutal conflicts whenever they meet. In addition to this, the Necrons are the opposites of the Aeldari in many ways: the Aeldari move quickly but are rather fragile, while Necrons are slow-moving but tough; the Aeldari are a Witch Species with considerable psychic power, while the Necrons have no pyskers due to having no souls, and make use of Anti-Magic technology; they were both created by an ancient precursor race, but the Aeldari were created to safeguard, while the Necrons were made to destroy.
Should the specific types of Necron troops, vehicles, constructs etc. be given a similar treatment to the primaris marines page?

Skorpekh Destroyer Edited by LordAraghast Hide / Show RepliesIt's a possibility but when something similar was done to the Ork page it didn't look too great (and still doesn't to my mind, its on my list of things I would like to sort out). We should at least wait until after the release of the Codex in any event.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellI was planning on adding this in based on som discustions I read from some other Necron players, but I thought I'd put it here first in case it was a little to one the nose or fan-wanky.
Linear Warriors, Quadratic Wizards: In a way. Necrons suffer more at lower point games than most other armies, due the relatively high cost of their units. In contrast with Orks or Space Marines who can fight well at any point level. At higher point games though, with the amount of synergy and support Necron units can give each other, there is nothing a well-planned Necron army can’t handle.

Lord Araghast recently posted a pic of the Tesseract Vault in the C'tan section and I am wondering if that was okay as it I don't think that is an appropriate section for the Vault (it is a Necron vehicle and a Transcendent C'tan would be better), it is in the wrong place (it should be with the description if it is appropriate) and has a blank caption section (although that doesn't show up on the page itself thankfully). Should it be moved/removed/replaced?
