Copy/pasting my edit reason from cleanup since it got mad long:

Reason:

  • False Friend: It's less "lied about being her friend" and more "reluctantly tolerated her because he liked the attention, actually had a good talk with her and decided they could be friends, then started hating her when she ascended to Stalker With A Crush.
  • Fan Disservice has its own subpage and the entry is just disgusting body-shaming for a scene not meant to be sexy even in a parodical way.
  • Fan Myopia: First bullet doesn't make sense because Kubrick's The Shining is actually more popular than the miniseries, and the second bullet isn't Fan Myopia, but something akin to a misplaced Dan Browned entry that might violate ROCEJ.
  • Fanservice Pack: He didn't change his appearance to be sexier. He didn't change his basic appearance at all besides shaving his head. Also lots of creepy gushing and body-shaming.
  • First Grey Hair is speculation as Doug just happened to have grey patches and it wasn't plot-relevant.
  • Flanderization is complainy misuse - he was screamy before the reboot, possibly even moreso, and a subtle change in voice isn't flanderization which by definition requires exaggerated change.
  • The Fool requires the character to be unrealistically lucky, while Critic is a Cosmis Plaything.
  • Freudian Excuse is a discussed trope and does not apply to Critic himself here - and it's actually Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse at that.
  • Friend To Psychos: The Twincest pothole is creepy shippy speculation and "disgusted but is able to occupy same space with him once or twice" doesn't make them friends.
  • Gayngst is speculation and complaining.
  • Good Counterpart is complainy and doesn't apply as Ask That Guy came after Critic, which would make him an Evil Counterpart, and Critic isn't even played as "good" all the time anyway.
  • Hates Being Touched: For the second bullet: not wanting a creepy pervert to touch you doesn't mean you hate being touched at all.
  • Heartbreak And Ice Cream: He didn't actually eat ice cream, mostly just chips. This may fit the supertrope Comfort Food better.
  • He Is All Grown Up: He's not meant to be attractive in universe as they riff on his appearance a lot.
  • Everything but the Catwoman and Monster Squad examples in He Man Woman Hater is meta complaining.
  • Heteronormative Crusader is all meta complaining.
  • Hes Got Legs: The scene was Fan Disservice and the entry is creepy gushing.
  • Hollywood Autism is speculation.
  • Hollywood Dateless: It's never stated he jerked off with the Rogue doll because he's lonely and sex-starved. You can masturbate and still have a sex life. Additionally, having a single Abhorrent Admirer does not make him comparable to Hugh Hefner.
  • Hollywood Nerd is ZCE gushing.
  • Hollywood Personality Disorders is speculation.
  • Hollywood Thin is misuse and hugely inappropriate commentary on an actor's body.
  • Human Hummingbird is about a visual trick - the arms flailing so fast you can't see them, not just any flailing arms.
  • I Am Not My Father is speculation with hints of complaining.
  • Ignored Epiphany: His Blue Sky moment was more of an offhand Take That since he says he'll only stop being mean "if they make anything good."
  • I Just Want To Be Beautiful: First part sounds valid but the second part has me wary given the creepy body shaming all over this page.
  • Informed Attractiveness: The "my pretty" line is just part of the Shout Out, and he's not played up as really attractive in the reboot. There's just more actors and thus more people to have physical scenes with him, which aren't always sexually charged.
  • Innocent Fanservice Guy: Misuse - it's for characters who don't understand nudity taboos.
  • Irrational Hatred: There's a reason to dislike "preachy environmentalists" (the hint is the word "preachy") so this just sounds like complaining.
  • Its A Wonderful Plot is a plot trope.
  • I Want My Beloved To Be Happy sounds like Shipping Goggles - he doesn't like the Chick/Todd thing mainly because she's a weird Stalker With A Crush.
  • I Was Quite A Looker is gushy and doesn't even fit the trope - it's about when you used to be attractive, not when you're still attractive but aging.
  • Kaleidoscope Eyes specifically states that changes because of the lighting doesn't count - it needs to be deliberate artistic choice.
  • Threatening once to use a knife isn't a Knife Nut; Critic is more of a Gun Nut.
  • Know Nothing Know It All is meta complaining. Lean And Mean is just more creepy body-shaming.
  • Like Father Like Son is speculation; Smith wasn't confirmed as Critic's father at the time.
  • L Is For Dyslexia doesn't explain how it pertains to Critic as it just sounds like Critic referencing dyslexia in reference to another character.
  • Cut the fandom gushing from Little Bit Beastly.
  • Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places: Not sure about the example as a whole but the Buffy reference is Fan Myopia.
  • Love Martyr is speculative.
  • Made A Slave: Hyper never actually Mind Raped him, nor did she explicitly say she'd make him a slave.
  • The Mad Hatter is complainy, hopefully my rewrite still works. Madonna Whore Complex is pure meta complaining.
  • Magnetic Hero is doubtful; he mostly keeps the same team throughout the series barring some side characters, and even then it's usually not because of feminine traits - he just as often wins people over through violence as he does being hilariously pitiful.
  • Female Misogynist: Why is an entry about how the trope fits The Nostalgia Chick on this page?
  • Man Of A Thousand Voices isn't just "Does impressions."
  • I don't get the Meaningful Name entry, as "Nostalgia Critic" doesn't mean "hates being a critic and thinks he's bad at it."
  • Military Brat is troping Doug, not Critic.
  • Misery Builds Character is not "Fans like when he's miserable."
  • Mommas Boy has some weird assumptions of Parental Incest that are not in the text, sheesh.
  • Motor Mouth is complaining.
  • Mr Fanservice: Nearly all those scenes are Fan Disservice. Just because you find him hot doesn't mean the work intended that as such.

Also commented out any ZCE and fixed indentation.

Edited by mightymewtron I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
