Pokemon Villain Team Rainbow Rocket. Yes or no?
The trailer indicates that they will be the Big Bad of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. What we know so far is that Giovanni has Mewtwo as his signature pokemon, the grunts have rainbow colored R symbols on thier shirts, and that literally ever team villain boss except Lusamine and Guzma have joined him. I'd say that warrants a separate page instead of adding more onto the Team Rocket page.
Hide / Show RepliesI suggest waiting until the game comes out and we see what actually happens in the Rainbow Rocket storyline.
I might support a split when the time comes, but it's definitely too premature.
Also, are you in favor of doubling up (so Giovanni would be on this hypothetical page and the original TR page) or moving everyone? Or just having this page be mostly "See Team Rocket/Plasma/etc."
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Well the thing is: Team Rocket has been effectively out of the picture (save for Giovanni being a contestant in the Pokemon World Tournament) ever since Gen 3 was introduced. That means that everything established on the Team Rocket page only mostly applies to the first two generation games where they are the bad guys.
Gen 7 isn't bringing back Team Rocket. They're now Team Rainbow Rocket, which is technically a different team, even if we all know they're still the same. Anything that happened to Team Rocket in Gen 1 and 2 should stay on their page. If US/UM happens to make references to past events, then it's worth listing on the Rainbow Rocket page, and characterization comparisons between the two teams for recurring characters like Giovanni is fair as well.
A recent interview confirmed that the members of TRR came from alternate universes where they won, if that helps.
Someone added them under 'Spoiler Team.' I think that since they're under a folder like that, they don't need any spoiler tags for their tropes.
Signature Move has been misused on these pages. I've replaced them with Weapon Of Choice since that is the idea behind the original entries.
Regarding whoever deleted my entry saying that Ghetsis has a physical Hydreigon in Black 2 and White 2 most likely because Iris has a special attacking one: my theory behind that goes to something that was discussed on the Headscratchers page there asking why Shauntal doesn't have Jellicent anymore, and someone said it was likely because Marlon has one and they didn't want to give the same Pokémon to two important battles. If they had gave Ghetsis a special attacking Hydreigon in the Giant Chasm, they would have had very little reason to give Iris one.
But then again, you could argue with that, because both Ghetsis and Shauntal use Cofagrigus in both games, and in the first games Grimsley and Ghetsis both had Bisharp. Even moreso considering Clair, Lance and Blue in HGSS all use Gyarados and such (although Clair's has a terrible moveset).
Edited by 204.124.115.157- A Nazi by Any Other Name: Well, seeing as they're basically committing genocide by wiping out everyone and everything not loyal to them while seeking to become immortal superhumans, they might count.
So, does Game Freak REALLY expect us to believe that Ghetsis JUST HAPPENED to come across a kid in the woods who suited his plan perfectly AND looked exactly like him? I mean, I can buy "not father and son", but you give me "not related at all" and I'm gonna think that you think I'm an idiot or something.
Re cut request: I've declined it as there are far too many inbounds. Please redirect or disambiguate instead, thanks.
