I was already adding tropes to Ochaco's folder and then the traitor stuff seems to have pushed the whole page for 1A over the edge. Not sure if it needs to be edited or if it's finally time for her to be split into her own page alongside the main three boys. She's probably the fourth most important student right now anyway.
Kirishima and/or Aoyama also might need one.
Edited by Graphica-DangerI think chopping the page in half (1-10, 11-20, adjust based off the three mains with their own pages) is a more future proof option. Remember that groups should be split before Character-Specific Pages.
I think it would probably be warranted to give Ochako Uraraka her own page at least, namely since she's the most prominent member of the class after the Power Trio, the main heroine of the series, and future proofing since, while her entry is already big, is probably gonna get bigger going forward.
Vegeta: I'm back bitches!Actually yeah, page splitting sounds more economical. But I also agree with Rebel that Ochaco is in need of her own page because soon as Toga gets back into the story or anything else like developing her relationship with Deku, that's going to entail even more tropes being applied to her.
Uraraka's page isn't that much longer than others like Kirishima or Momo right now. I say just split down the middle by seat order for now. Or however it's more balanced in terms of page lenght. I think right now that would be Aoyama to Kaminari in one page, Kirishima to Yaoyorozu in another.
Edited by WashTheLaundryHeroI think the best solution here is to split the Class 1-A page into 2 pages between the genders.
I agree with splitting the page in half first and foremost. How you want to do that I'll leave up to you guys.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Ideas so far...
- Characters. My Hero Academia Class 1 A 1 To 10 and Characters. My Hero Academia 11 To 20? (right down the middle so it doesn't look arbitrary, but 1-10 will be slightly longer)
- Characters. My Hero Academia Class 1 A Male Students and Characters. My Hero Academia Class 1 A Female Students (nicer page names, but 11 guys vs. 6 girls means the guys' page will be longer. probably still not that bad)
- Characters. My Hero Academia Class 1 A One and Characters. My Hero Academia Class 1 A Two (this can be the one based on balancing length, eg. the Aoyama to Kaminari one linked above...)
I probably vote for the first pick. This isn't like Danganronpa where student-gender ratios are generally 50/50.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)I'd still recommend splitting off Ochako onto her own page if only for future proofing and to keep the pages equal in entry number. "One" would be Aoyama - Koda, "Two" would be Sato - Momo.
Edited by RebelFalcon Vegeta: I'm back bitches!I've said as much in the thread that came up with the CSP guidelines, but I really dislike making individual pages for characters just 'cause. Doing so on the basis that she may get more tropes (and said tropes will be added, and said additions will be correct...) is entirely speculative. If that happens she can be split off after the fact.
Edited by SynchronicityVery fair point. All that other stuff aside, I do genuinely believe she does deserve her own page at this point with how things stand currently and her relevance to the story. But that's just my take.
These are the main qualifying factors to getting a character specific page according to the page itself.
- The character's page bypasses technical limitations and requires a split up.
- A single character takes up the majority of a page or is disproportionately bigger than other folders.
- The character folder is cleaned up beforehand, fixing any Zero Context Examples and outdated/misused tropes.
- A character folder is at least 6,000 words/40,000 characters (with spaces).
- And most importantly, other options must have been tried first, like splitting pages into further groups.
Uraraka's character folder is currently at 33,000 characters, with the second most afterwards being Momo and Kirishima at 27,000 and 22,000 respectively. So her folder isn't even that much larger than the rest. Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki all had broke the 40,000 mark when their individual pages were created, there's no reason to give Uraraka special treatment on the assumption that she'll break the limit.
When she breaks 40,000 characters, then she can get her own page but she simply doesn't need one right now.
Edited by BlackYakuzu94 A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Bumping this. A couple other people in the overly long pages thread have commented that 1-10 and 11-20 sounds reasonable, so that'll probably be what we'll end up going with. I'll work on it when I get the time unless someone beats me to it.
Concerning the removal of this entry:
- Betty and Veronica: She serves as a Betty to Toga's Veronica as well as to Izuku's Archie.
This entry's counterpart is being edit warred over on the League of Villains' character page. A discussion is being held there so please head over to that page to discuss it.
Edited by EmeraldSky Hide / Show RepliesSince Discussion pages break links, spelling out the URL here so people cna copy/paste it: (I'll also include it in an edit of the page): https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/remarks.php?trope=Characters.MyHeroAcademiaLeagueOfVillains&id=128250#128250
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. Why is this even a subject? Izuku has no intention of dating Toga, as far as the series goes.
The discussion is ongoing on the League's page if you'd like to join in.
Looks like the traitor brouhaha has finally tipped the too-long page warning. Foreshadowing examples are not character tropes and should go on the main page anyway (with some big trimming to avoid Wall of Text), but that still means it's time to discuss potential splits.
