- Unfortunate Names: His initial American name was Duff McWhalen, and he's a water type. It's impossible to look at his name without thinking of something else.For those who don't get it... This changed once the Legacy Collections came out.
It's impossible to look at his name and not think of a specific and somewhat uncommon (perhaps regionally, to be fair) piece of slang (that probably wouldn't be most people's first thought when it's presented as a name, especially if they pick up on the Guns N' Roses reference) and proceed to overthink it in relation to the character in a way that goes beyond the name itself. You can tell it's impossible not to think of it because it takes three sentences to explain how you get there. (Also, in the "things I never thought I'd have to type about Mega Man or any other video game" department, piss doesn't come from the ass.)
