I'm more than willing to drop the discussion, since it's not that important anyways, but the trope page describes Ambiguously Brown as being a character "with a skin tone that's definitely not European, but it's not entirely clear what ethnicity they are supposed to be." Echo-216 may be swarthy, but his skin tone seems to still be well within the range of your typical Spaniard on the mainland, as well as in much of Southern Europe in general. I just feel that putting him in this category is a bit too "Northern Euro-centric", so to speak (precisely because it reinforces the uncomfortable implication that any sort of historical intermixing with Middle Eastern and North African peoples automatically makes Southern Europeans less "European" by definition). Anyways, feel free to ignore this.
