I'd say the latter: the scene plays out to me as if Penguin's realising he's been a bit of a dick generally, rather than realising he's an out-and-out villain.
In light of episode 5x03 and comments by Mr. Penn's actor, would it be appropriate (if not a bit morbid) to put down the fact that people that care about Oswald have a tendency to die in his arms is a Running Gag?
Hide / Show RepliesI guess that's a general rule of thumb, as long as I cite examples and aren't rude just go head?
I didn't take it as that, just clarifying. On another note, after 5x03 and rewatching some older episodes: would I Just Want to Have Friends or I Just Want to Be Loved better fit Oswald?
And how long should trope entries stay spoiler labeled for? Because in general I'm seeing stuff from season 1 still marked at such.
Yeah, I'd been wondering about that too. Personal opinion is that anything pre-season 4 is fair game for spoiler tag removal. Across all the character sheets actually.
Should Oswald's Ambiguously Bi and Ambiguously Gay tropes be combined?
Edited by AkibaPurple Hide / Show RepliesGo for it. Reading them, the Ambiguously Bi section is more up to date than the Ambiguously Gay one - combining and updating them coudn't hurt,
How best to go about describing his interactions with Sophia Falcone on this topic then? Oswald seemed interested in her a little but I don't believe it was confirmed in or out of universe.
Also, should Made of Iron be added for him too? Oswald has been injured a lot over the course of the show and keeps bouncing back.
Edited by AkibaPurpleWell, the current Ambiguously Bi article mentions his actor's theory that he'd have fallen for anyone that showed him kindness regardless of gender, which certainly supports his interactions with Sofia, so maybe keep and expand on that? Depends how you want to rewrite it, really.
I'm not sure if Oswald's admittance that he's alone because of how terribly he treats people is an example of Heel Realization or Jerkass Realization?
