I think Manga!Esdeath has officially crossed the Moral Event Horizon. Well, actually, I think she had already skipped merrily over it long ago, what with all the atrocities she committed and her endorsement of Honest's regime, but as of Chapter 75, she's gone off the deep end, even for her. Her own army means nothing to her now - she unleashes an attack that turns the empire into an icy wasteland, and when Najenda points out that this could endanger her own men and their families, Esdeath just gives an evil smile and basically declares that she doesn't give a fuck. She has officially reached Apocalypse-level social Darwinism, and that would qualify her as a Complete Monster.

"But she loves Tatsumi!" you might say. No, she really doesn't. Deep down, she just saw him as a prized possession rather than a significant other, a toy she wanted but couldn't have right away, so she wanted it(him) even more. From the beginning, she made it clear that she wanted to control her would-be lover in every way, and that is one of her biggest flaws that makes me question the idea that she's truly capable of love: she's a control freak. Said lover's feelings and goals would have meant nothing to her. What she wanted was an Anakin/Padme relationship, with her being Anakin, or perhaps their would-be relationship is comparable to that of Immortan Joe and his wives in "Mad Max: Fury Road": she sees Tatsumi as a valued piece of property, and that's it.

"But she cares for her subordinates!" you might say. Again, she really doesn't. Chapter 75 proved that. Her attempts to comfort them and all that weren't motivated by altruism or anything, but a desire to keep them obedient. If they die, she doesn't care; if they leave, she dismisses them as wasted potential.

In the end, Esdeath only cares about herself. She's just as evil as Honest.
