I suggest keeping the Langdell example with pruning. The basic crux of the issue is that he\\\'s become a notorious patent troll over the word \\\"Edge\\\" and continues harass major and minor publishers for using the word in their games. The lawsuit with EA is ongoing. The ego part comes into play because he not only believes he can trademark a common word, but because of various actions he\\\'s taken during the lawsuit that make him appear to think he\\\'s above the law.
He\\\'d be a careful example to watch though - \\\'\\\'anyone\\\'\\\' from video games is going to attract extra attention.
The Yahtzee entry sounds like a bit of butthurt. I think he\\\'s a douche and not really that funny, but I don\\\'t see anything in there that suggests he has this problem in real life.
The Sims example, on More Awesome Than You? Not even \\\'\\\'close\\\'\\\' to relevant. An entire community of jerks isn\\\'t this trope. And yea, they are jerks - but not this trope.
The Itagaki entry isn\\\'t really describing him doing something from this trope. I\\\'m not sure how much of his history would justify this, but he did recently resolve his disputes with Tecmo and he\\\'s back again, so the entry isn\\\'t even up to date. I\\\'d nuke it for now.

The Linkara example way up in the Duds could probably be safely chucked into the TedBaxter page since it\\\'s in-character and not real life.
