Specifically having josei yuri being specified as \\\"Yuri for lesbians\\\" which seems one sided, when it seems fair (in my mind) that shoujo yuri would also be read by homosexual girls. Is there an implication that Japanese girls read yuri without being gay?
The difference in tone and style is (mostly) apparent, but it seems a stretch to have level of acknowledgement of homosexuality based upon how much it addresses LGBTQ and other real life issues. I mean, I deal with enough LGBTQ stuff in real life and it may be seen as insulting that not wanting to read a story involving that implicates you in being \\\"less gay\\\" than anyone else...
