There were several youtube videos that have edited cleaned up versions of the poster into the last scene of the video. Since then unfortunately, copyright claims removed most of the videos...but there\\\'s still some left

So there! Beyond this, its all YMMV. You asked for proof, so I gave mine. But there is no WordOfGod out on this, only WordOfDante (the wiki and implicit proofs...)

This troper was one of the people who many years ago was given an upset by the fact that the video ended mid-way. So thanks to Word of Wiki, the image was found after a long search.

Regarding statements, there is no WordOfGod on that one. But this was one of the images released along with the movie -- the japanese next to the copyright symbol says so. Its\' not available on the regular edition, so its almost certainly from the art gallery of the special edition disk -- many reviews seem to point to that (The special edition had another 20 very high quality pictures...that website in fact has all of them as well). There is Word of Wiki on that one.

Besides if you take this picture (the full image -- its in 2 parts) and place it side by side with the very last scene in the video, you\'ll instantly notice that they match up perfectly. Compare these 3 images http://ccs.sky-bound.org/gallery/details.php?image_id=54059 , http://ccs.sky-bound.org/gallery/details.php?image_id=54061 and http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ccs27_320.jpg

Takeoff, midair, landing...see? Just imagine for a sec if you were the animator and wanted to show the hug in the video, that\'s exactly the pose which you\'d end up with. Note that the staff in the left hand and Syaoran\'s arms in the exact same position as in the video. You can only land so horizontal if you jumped a good distance and were on the descent. One dub video on youtube in fact demonstrated that by putting the image immediately after the video ending. Some youtube videos (which have since been removed) had explained this with the link in the comments.

If that were a comic strip or a manga, that is exactly how two consecutive frames would show a sequence - maintaining compatibility of positions is key in comics to show continuity.

Besides everyone who saw this poster instantly recognized the context and the continuity of the positions with the video. Its clearly the ending scene I don\'t think an official statement would be necessary for that...

Regarding backgrounds, the DVD cover is another 2 panel poster with a scene straight out of the film but with an edited background -- movie posters do that often. This image also exists in a lot of edited forms and wallpapers on places, however they all admit they cleaned off all those extras. This is actually the original. Tineye search would show you that.

Besides in all anime, the background changes during a particularly emotional moment. You may also remember that the last scene in the video was taken from a far-off angle from where only the character outlines were visible. The poster is much bigger (it is the biggest image of all on that website) and much more detailed. And this troper has seen every image released with the second movie right down to the artbooks and the movie book -- this is the only image of its kind. You can search 55000 images in that cheerio image gallery.

Producers have various agendas in doing things the way they do...look at the bright side...a poster is what a devoted fan of any media might put up on their room wall...

Finally remember the whole point of the second movie\'s plot, which is why it drags the suspense till the last minute! If Sakura hugs Syaoran, the story is over! The manga ending is also just that...when Sakura hugs Syaoran, it\'s the end!

Many fans would have loved a {{Denouement}}, but in media there are also shows that end on the climax...that\'s all producer\'s decisions. So if you want to know why CLAMP and Madhouse / Funanimation chose to end it in this unconventional manner, you\'d have to ask them directly ! Lol...

Anyway something\'s better than nothing, so enjoy the crowning moment of heartwarming rather than working yourself up like this....So yes, the vast majority of the fandom jury who have seen this are on the side of TrailersAlwaysSpoil
