-->(Original picture caption) \\\"Think of it as \\\'\\\'YokohamaKaidashiKikou\\\'\\\' \\\'\\\'\\\'InSpace!\\\'\\\'\\\' [[{{Metaphorgotten}} And with]] StuffBlowingUp.\\\"

-->\\\"The description in the caption above, for example, is actually rather fitting; \\\'\\\'YokohamaKaidashiKikou\\\'\\\' is a very slow-paced {{manga}} that relies mainly on [[SceneryPorn sweeping visuals]] to tell a [[SliceOfLife surprisingly expansive, deep story]]. (Even the backstory in the manual is a surprisingly good read.) Likewise, \\\'\\\'Homeworld\\\'\\\' attempted to stand out with an expansive, deep story told through sweeping visuals (both in-game and in stunning {{cutscene}}s) and a sharp interface at the cost of slow pacing. (Of course, superficial similarities probably help too, such as both storylines featuring women with a very high degree of cybernetic enhancement of whom the whole fate of humanity/Kushani is passed down to.)\\\"

Comparisons to \\\'\\\'BattlestarGalactica\\\'\\\' would be a lot more appropriate, if anything, because \\\'\\\'Homeworld\\\'\\\' is more related to that series plotwise than \\\'\\\'YokohamaKaidashiKikou\\\'\\\'.

Besides, I feel that all the effort that whatever troper put in to justify their equating \\\'\\\'Homeworld\\\'\\\' to \\\'\\\'YokohamaKaidashiKikou\\\'\\\' is severely cheapening this article; it wasn\\\'t there in Web Archive versions dating back to May 2008, and it seems \\\'\\\'very\\\'\\\' uncouth to [[GushingAboutShowsYouLike gush about a series in another, completely unrelated series\\\' article]]. In fact, it almost seems like whoever wrote all that stuff about the manga is trying to use \\\'\\\'Homeworld\\\'\\\'\\\'s article to advertise \\\'\\\'YokohamaKaidashiKikou\\\'\\\'. That\\\'s \\\'\\\'really\\\'\\\' not fair to do to \\\'\\\'Homeworld\\\'\\\' in its own page.

Unless the developers \\\'\\\'intentionally\\\'\\\' tried to make \\\'\\\'Homeworld\\\'\\\' based on or patterned after \\\'\\\'YokohamaKaidashiKikou\\\'\\\' (and from all that I can see, the few similarities are coincidental despite the troper\\\'s claims), then I don\\\'t think it\\\'s right to say that it is.

There\'s a number of SquarePegRoundTrope cases popping up here (such as BeyondTheImpossible) which I\'ve changed or removed. I\'ve also taken the liberty of moving YMMV tropes to a YMMV tag, and I\'ve also changed the image from the screenshot of the Karos Graveyard to the Homeworld 1 box art (moving the screenshot to an Images tab), and removed the spiel about \'\'YokohamaKaidashiKikou\'\'.
