* DeaderThanDisco: \'\'Bleach\'\' was once one of the most popular manga in Japan (considered as one of the \"Big Three\" alongside \'\'Manga/OnePiece\'\' and \'\'Manga/{{Naruto}}\'\'); Unfortunately, PacingProblems, poorly handled LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters among other issues, ultimately cause the anime to be cancelled and eventually the manga to be cut short, souring the opinion of the series for fans. This video analysis titled [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACq7tgjHdGA The Fall of BLEACH: How it Happened]] has more details on this.

My understanding of the trope is that the fall in popularity reaches such a point that people won\'t admit to ever having liked it. That isn\'t the case for this manga. People who now dislike it don\'t claim they never did. They just list the reasons why they stopped liking it, which I think is covered by other tropes. BTW, the video linked is just a fan review, it\'s not factual and, while there are plenty of fans that agree with the point of the video\'s sentiment, it does also have a reputation for being poorly researched. A link certainly shouldn\'t be used to argue the relevance of the trope. The written example itself should be doing that.
