resolved An obscure video game where a character regrets her past actions (Found!) Videogame
There was a somewhat obscure video game (maybe an RPG?) that I'm pretty confident that there was a TV Tropes page for a few years ago. But I forgot to bookmark it. The game has an Asian setting in 19XX (Not sure of the actual year). It has two protagonists: a male and a female, both went to the same school. Back in their school days, they had an oppressive government or something along those lines. So some of the students of this school and their teacher started a secret club to rebel against the government's unfairness. Later in the game, it is revealed that the female protagonist had been the one to betray the club and all of the members (because of jealousy or envy of someone else?), and that the male protagonist had been one of the club members and was arrested. The male protagonist is nearly dead, and the female protagonist had actually returned to the school to lament on her past actions that took most of her classmates' lives. That's the most I can recall about it. Please help!
Edited by StrayShardresolved hunchback of the notre dame Western Animation
Back in the 90's there aired a cartoon based on the hunchback of the notre dame in the Netherlands. It wasn't based on the disney version and in fact had a more darker artstyle. I remember Quasimodo quoting something his mother used to say about how the twisted oak grows the strongest. I hope this is info for something to find what I'm looking for
resolved movie or live-action show
An Indian(?) family is preparing for their daughter's wedding, an older female relative gifts her with a dress, and the daughter thanks her, but the relative asks her what's wrong. The daughter says nothing's wrong, but the relative says she doesn't seem to really be into it. The daughter admits that she's never really been one for dresses. So then the relative gets her a suit. The daughter is brought to tears, and the relative goes, "Now there's the reaction I was looking for."
resolved Spy Show Live Action TV
Alright, so, there's this old show about spy kids that juggled with school and work and they were a part of MI... 6? 7? There were three main characters and their mentor, and... I think it was on Disney XD? Not sure. It's probably from around the mid/late 2000s.
resolved mystery cartoon Western Animation
I'm looking for a cartoon about I think a smalltown reporter who solved supernatural mysteries with the help of three comedy relief ghost sidekicks. I remember the ghosts being afraid of water because they apparently suffered from wicked witch of the west disease and would melt.
resolved Mind reading boy
A movie about a boy who could read minds. He was at a carnival with a girl, and he played a Shell Game with playing cards. While the cards were being shuffled, he was watching not the cards, but the shuffler. He got it right multiple times, and on the last time the shuffler was like “ >:( no one’s ever beaten that shuffle.” Then as the kids walked away, he was like “We just had a winner! Easy peasy! Step right up!”
Then the kids were on a Ferris wheel. The boy kisses the girl, but she says she wasn’t ready or something, and he’s like “I thought you wanted me to.”
Edit: I found it, it's Hearts in Atlantis
resolved Some chinese Movie with Magic and magic Swordsman
I´m searching for a movie with a very distinctive scene. The Scene is a flashback of the mentor of the protagonists: The mentor is fighting in a battle and succumbs to the power of darkness. He becomes so powerful and enraged that the enemy soldiers turn around and flee. They are then cut down.
In the rest of the movie, the protagonists are 2 brothers. One of them is taught how to use the power of darkness and the other is taught some magic sword techniques. In the end, both fight the bad guy and after defeating him each other. After fighting one brother sacrifice himself to help the other brother to remove the power of darkness.

Found it! Demon's Crest!
Game where you can go straight to the final boss from the start, but is easiest that way.
Because he's not done getting ready...
I think it was a sprite-based RPG, but I"m not sure.
I'm sure I read about it on this site, though.
If I knew what trope I was describing, I think I'd be able to find it...
Zero-Effort Boss? Doesn't seem right...
Edited by Maladyresolved Old cartoon (80s-90s) with character in green hat? Western Animation
I believe it was either a British show or some kind of European, and most of all I can remember is there was a male character that wore a pointy green hat and a green coat. He had a deep voice and I specifically remember scenes with him walking around and sitting in the forest? That's all I remember
resolved NSFW-ish shoot-'em-up Videogame
I tried Deep Space Waifu, but got a little confused, because I was thinking of this entirely different game where you fly a ship and shoot yellow blocks to reveal more of the background (which was of anime girls), and it seemed to control more like Asteroids than a normal scrolling shmup, so you had to carefully steer through the level. I think part of the description/premise was that you're trying to "liberate" the girls from aliens or something, and I swear Total Biscuit did a video on it years ago and that it was on Steam.
resolved A point and click adventure game where you're a spy in victorian london.
The plot is that you have to stop a mad scientist called Dr. Dinsey from using a machine that combines creatures from creating a mutant army. I remember one puzzle involved talking a prostitute at a brothel into giving you a camera and you defeat the mad scientist by tricking him into walking into the machine while its in reverse and he gets disassembled, also one cutscene showed him creating a gryphon out of an eagle and a dog IIRC.
Edited by Muppetresolved Village prepare for monster Videogame

Edited by Super_Troper404resolved Paperinik, Phantomias, Superduck, PK, Super Donald, Phantom Duck or whatever he is called Print Comic
I'm looking for the comic where Donald goes to the future and finds out that among other things his nephews are continuing his super hero work. Despite all three of them working together the beagle boys are still outmatching them, until Donald takes HD&L to the hideout of the burglars which he knew about because they also used it in the past/present
Edited by dutchguy1986resolved manhwa
Okay, so it is technically an isekai even though it doesn't come up. The MC used to be pretty powerful but suddenly lost all his powers. Early on in the manwha he finds that this is because a spirit in his ring had been using draining his power until he was strong enough to materialize. Now with his power back and the help of the spirit the MC uses alchemy to help restore his family to their former glory. Also his younger sister is adopted and the two are in love, though that is far from the main focus
resolved Weird Cartoon Western Animation
It was a story about a fantasy world where a king hired various different knights to kill a dragon, it aired on Teletoon (Canadian broadcaster) years ago. Anyone got any idea what it is?
resolved Chevy Chase hits a fly with a blowdart Film
It's been over 20 years since I've seen this film.
Chevy Chase visits the Amazon rainforest, there's a boat ride through a river, Chevy rinses his bandana and catches some piranhas with it, Chevy meets a kid he has some connection with and agrees to bring him back to the city when he comes of age, kid comes of age through a tribal ceremony and Chevy reluctantly has to follow through on his promise. Hijinks ensue.
resolved Australian characters are insensitive jerks: Is this tropeable?
Refer to this TLP draft proposal
.
Is there a trope here, or just a writing trend?
And if there is a trope, what other examples are there?
Especially looking for:
- Aussies cast as racially unspecified characters written to be assholes
- Aussie character specifically written to be assholes
- Asshole characters not originally written to be Australian, made Australian in adaptations
resolved 20th Century Fox movie with sentient toy dinosaurs (SOLVED) Film
At one point in my childhood, I saw the closing credits of a 20th Century Fox movie on TV. There were at least three scenes during the credits. One of them involved a toy dinosaur (I think) talking to another toy dinosaur, who I think was ignoring him. He was saying things like "Let's get this party started!" and "The roof is on fire!" The next credits scene involved the same dinosaur saying to a human boy something like "Bet you can't see us now! We're invisible!" The boy then said that he could see both of them. I think the credits ended with the Davis Entertainment logo, followed by the "(Produced and?) Released by Twentieth Century Fox" text.
Edited by MisterToodleooresolved A Retraux cyberpunk Shoot'em Up. Videogame
I recently saw a trailer for this game but i can't find it anymore. The protagonist is a bounty hunter in a 80s themed cyberpunk world and collects cyborg skulls from gang members he kills. The trailer had several gangs with different themes, one were punks with a leatherman Giant Mook, another was a biker gang, the third was a sports hooligan themed gang with sports shirts and hockey sticks as weapons and the last ones were martial artists/ breakdancers whose boss had a samurai armor and mirror shades. IIRC the biker gang were called The Heatseekers and the martial artists were The Repeat Offenders.

As the title says I'm looking for an sentai esque show that I don't think ever got adapted. In the first episode the main character comes into town and sees the police force prepare to fight of foot soldiers. The secret base is under the police station and the boss is under cover as janitor in the station. They use keys, stolen from the bad guys who use them to create monsters, to create new weapons/ powerups and their morphers are also their talking weapons. The hero uses a sword the other member a gun and eventually a third member using a lance or spear showed up.
