Edited by sassyelliott2403resolved Short poem about hunting Literature
It was a really short poem, about 4 or 5 lines. Can't remeber what the original language was - I read it in english but I think it was translated.
It was about how a predator is the most vulnerable while hunting. It went something like "the mantis punds the insect and doesn't notice the talons of the bird overhead. That's when the hunter shoots his arrow"
That was the whole of it but I can't remember the animals involved - not sure it was a mantis and insect, and the bird was a particular kind - I remember cause I didn't know it and had to look it up. Can't find it from google only with this pls help
resolved Early 2000s video game show with martial arts guy asking viewers to guess a game character? Live Action TV
I remember in the early 2000s there was a show I saw on Nick Ga S and also I believe either Tech TV or G4, which was about, well, video games. It was a family-friendly show that had game reviews and previews, some factoids about game development (I remember a segment going on about how difficult it is to render water), and there was a segment where this martial arts sensei stereotype sort of character would ask the viewer to guess a video game character using hints.
I know it wasn't Game Farm. That's about it.
resolved Astronomy docuseries with a specific CGI alien Live Action TV
I remember an astronomy docuseries that aired on (I think) the Science Channel in the 2010s. One of the episodes was about speculating on extraterrestrial life, and it featured a giant, three-legged, tortise-like alien rising up from the surface of what may have been Europa.
resolved Finding Webseries

resolved Fantasy about reincarnation of an abusive man and his lover Literature
In the late nineties/early aughts (I can't remember when exactly) I borrowed a paperback fantasy novel from a library that jumped between two storylines: one a woman and her cruel boyfriend and the other a girl and her abusive father. It's determined these are reincarnations of the same people (I think it was the couple died and reincarnated as father and daughter) by mystics or gods observing them for some reason. The only character name I remember is the woman or girl was named something like Gwynn (I remember thinking it had no standard vowels) with something like Gwynnie as a nickname. I didn't finish it and I sometimes wonder what that book was. The cover might've been a blonde woman under a tree with yellow or red leaves?
resolved Do it as a favor
Do we have a trope about authors working on something because they were asked for it as a favor or gift from someone else?
resolved Reddit stories about supernatural campground?
I remember i read (on tvtropes) about a serkes of reddit text stories about a campground frequented by eldritch abominations, ghosts, and the fair folk. There was a young girl ghost i think. The main character was a woman who ran the camp, and she eventually became some kind of a supernatural entity herself?
The title had some kind of reference to rules or survival.

Edited by sassyelliott2403resolved A film about war mercenaries and one losing a leg
I remember a film about a group of mercenaries looking for gold in an asiatic setting, one of them gets shot and, after some days, he got gangrene, so their partners had to amputate it, he feels angry (thinking that his partners want to run with the treasure without him), so a woman decides to give him some sexual pleasure in front of his father... he decides to stay with those people in the end..
Edited by Travsamresolved A new year film filled with rock star tropes Film
I am trying to remember about a film that is made in The '70s with a story when a big wild party is built with some blues and rock bands, the things I remember are:
- A big bathroom filled with mess and drugs (even there is a gigantic heroin syringe moving around)
- A blues band composed by orthodox jews that, after the party, end up really messed
- A rock band with a vocalist that leaves the gig to have sex with his groupie (while leaving the drummer to perform a very long drum solo) just to find her having sex with one of the main characters, this leads to some drama and to have the vocalist leaving the gig for good by entering a bathroom when he starts talking with his penis that encourages him to restart from zero.. (while the drummer ends banging the drums with his head)

What song from the Karate Kid has the lyrics "Memories can fade so fast"?
