resolved Seth MacFarlane chest-bursting scene Western Animation
In this
post I made on another thread, I mentioned an episode of Family Guy that scared me as a kid, where a doctor checks a patient, declares him "gay" and then a monster bursts out of the patient. I don't know which episode this was, do any of you? Of course, I am also contemplating if this may have been an American Dad! episode instead, due to the similar looks between the shows.
resolved Fisherman Adopts A Weird Fish? Western Animation
I saw an animated short without dialogue, Russian in origin I think, where a little old fisherman caught a fish with a human-like face. He put it into a water barrel with some apples for it to eat, and eventually gained the creature's trust. It adapted to the land and began to live in his house with him like a dog. He fed it from his own plate, played music with it (he had a clarinet, I think the fish had some kind of trumpet), and generally treated it as a beloved pet. Sadly, one day while he was going out to fish, he got distracted by a passing ship, and his pet fell in the water and drowned. He pulled it out but it was too late, and his life was quiet and sort of empty afterwards.
resolved Shorts about insects and other arthropods Western Animation
They ran on the Disney Channel and/or Toon Disney in the mid-to-late 2000s. Animated all in CGI. Not of the character spoke. Usually they'd air in-between episodes of shows.
One of the episodes was about a worm getting covered in gum. There was a fire involved in some way, even causing the gum to melt off, or the melted gum getting stuck to the worm.
resolved Cartoon episode about a compulsive liar who is being haunted by his dad's armchair Western Animation
I distinctly remember watching an episode of a horror-themed cartoon, where the main character recounts a story about a compulsive liar who is being haunted by his dad's armchair. In this story, the liar eventually decides to burn the armchair, but it comes back to attack him, at which point he wakes up and decides to clean up his act and reveal all the lies he told. Both the main character and the liar are children attending school.
What cartoon was it?
resolved CGI Cartoon about a girl and an alien Western Animation
I remember seeing this clip where a girl helps this alien who is a space agent and she has the help of two friends, a boy and another girl. The clip in particular is of the alien agent is disguised as a janitor and hiding from a criminal who is after him because the alien agent disfigured him when the guy was a rookie, turning him into a blob. I think the show may have been Spanish?
resolved Donate years of life to extend a friend's life Western Animation
I didn't actually see this, but a friend described it to me. He only vaguely remembered it from his childhood, and he was born in the 1980s so this could be a 1990s movie.
- An animated movie. It's possible that it was a TV show or a TV special.
- A group of friends went on a journey or quest to find and rescue their friend. The missing friend was somehow hurt or handicapped, possibly in a wheelchair.
- It was a fairly typical fantasy adventure that seemed appropriate for kids, but the ending became unexpectedly serious:
- A powerful entity such as the Grim Reaper or an angel was reluctant to release the captured friend, saying that he only had a limited time to live (one or two years of life remaining).
- The friends each agreed to donate a portion of their own lifespan to add to their handicapped friend's lifespan so he would have longer to live.
I tried searching Death's Hourglass and Living on Borrowed Time but with no luck.
resolved Anthropomorphic fox/cat woman sings about wanting a neice Western Animation
So I originally saw this as a kid ( 90s, UK but could be imported) and it was either broadcast or a vhs I had.
It was a colour cartoon, I think had a cheap animation feel to it. World populated by Victorian/old fashioned animal people.
The scene/song I remember was a fox or cat woman, singing a villain song about wanting a niece. The line I recall was "Do you hear me? I want a niece!", very repetitive song number. Very angry fox woman! I remember her throwing items around as she half-dances about.
Her species could have been something else but she was orange/brown and "evil" looking, sharp muzzle and ears etc.
resolved A show about two boys and their sister Western Animation
There was this one show I watched as a kid where two boys play pretend and their sister is portrayed as an antagonist in their pretend plays. I remember the Frankenstein parody but nothing beyond that.
resolved I dunno Western Animation
an 2d animated animesque (specifically a similar style to Avatar and Voltron Legendary Defender) pilot that I saw on Youtube it started with a race between a boy riding on... something (I think it was like a big raptor bird thing but I don't know for sure) and he was racing against a giant talking cat, the two of them were bickering like brothers and the cat said that if he won the kid was having a bath, the kid said something along the lines of "no way! your sandpapery tongue feels weird!" then the race was done and some soldiers were attacking a village full of... all I can remember about the people living in it is that they were maybe on the heavier side? IDK and I think the kid was wearing a unitard and those soldiers had black armor?
resolved Cartoon with Colourful Bears Western Animation
When I was a teeny tiny child, I had a video for an All-CGI Cartoon starring a cast of colourful bears. The whole world was a bit trippy tbh and I think rainbows were involved? If I'm not mistaken, I also owned at least two plushies of characters from the show. I just can't put a name to it...
ETA: After further investigation, it turns out I was thinking of Jellabies (Or Jellikins, as I knew it)! Disregard, locking.
Edited by Riolugirlresolved looking for stopmotion film Western Animation
The premise of the film is about astronauts trying to stop an asteroid (possibly a spoof of Armageddon) It was a comedy and was most likely R rated since it had some raunchy jokes

Edited by Joseph2012resolved Animated kids show featuring two anthropomorphic siblings as main characters. Western Animation
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to remember a 2D animated kids' show I used to watch around late 2019 and early 2021. Here’s what I recall:
Main Characters: The show featured a brother and sister who were anthropomorphic, fluffy, orange animals. The sister used a wheelchair, while the brother was able-bodied. They were both depicted as young kids.
Plot and Setting: The show centered around their adventures together, which took place both during the day and at night. They lived together in a house and would often have friends who sometimes joined them on their adventures.
Animation Style and Production: The animation was in 2D and had a unique style. I believe the show might have aired on Jim Jam and could have been associated with HIT Entertainment or Mattel.
Timeframe: I watched episodes or reruns during the early 2020s, but the show could have originally aired earlier.
I’ve been searching for this show but haven’t had any luck. If anyone here recognizes it or can point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks!
- Note: I used ai since I couldn't describe the show any better than that.
resolved French anime/animated film Western Animation
a french animated film, roughly in the same style of the studio ghibli classics, about a girl whose parents are chemists? her parents disappear when she is fairly young, and she lives with her cat, who can talk. a few years later, when she is a teenager, she manages to find her long-lost grandfather, and together they go to some other world, inhabited by a large family of armoured lizards, who break into a civil war between their mother and father.
resolved No Title Western Animation
This may have been a one-off or maybe a part of an anthology, I'm not sure.
Two boys - brothers, I think - end up in the castle of an ice wizard with an icicle beard. One of the boys asks the wizard does he have a fire to get warm, to which the wizard offers him a cold, blue flame to heat himself up.
Any help on this is appreciated. Thanks.
resolved An adventure animated show from the 2000s-early 2010s with Mons and very specific backstory Western Animation
I watched it on TV back in the late 2000s-mid-2010s and for the long time I was the only of the family to remember the title and now my power is lost. Please help me, collective brain of the TV Tropes community!
The first episode told the backstory in the intro, it went like this: some sort of a calamity happened on Earth, so some humans moved underground, and the others escaped in the space. The main characters, a boy and a girl, are the undergrounders and for the reasons I don't remember (but it has something to do with saving their underground city, I guess?) they are sent on Earth to collect [[Mons]] one per episode. The kids were assisted of some weird creature, probably a Mon or a robot: it provided them with information. Meanwhile, an evil man from space comes to collect them too for some greedy motives and they obviously were trying to stop him. The finale had them return to the city and save it, obviously. That's all I can recall.
(I mark it as Western Animation but there is a slight chance to it being anime)
Edited by TaurusVoidresolved Cartoon shows where there's scenes where a character is held in a giant gloved hand Western Animation
Hey there so I would like to know if there are cartoon shows where there's scenes where a character gets caught and held in a giant gloved hand either open palm or closed fist, any western animation cartoon would do.
resolved Cartoon with a music number called something like "I like myself" Western Animation
When I was little (this would be early to mid 90s) there was some cartoon (I'm pretty sure it was a movie or special, and not a series, as I remember it being more than 30 minutes, and don't remember any other episodes) where there is a music number where one character gets the protagonist to sing a song about how he likes himself (he did this due to the protagonist having really low self-esteem). I seem to remember each line of the song started with "I like my (something about himself)". I'm also pretty sure the characters were talking humanoid animals, and I think the protagonist was a duck. Unfortunately, I can't remember anything else about it, including any other scenes or even what animal the person singing the song with him was, although I'm pretty sure he wasn't also a duck.
resolved Series of mid-to-late 2000’s cartoon shorts Western Animation
Back in the day, Cartoon Network aired shorts under a “Wedgies” branding. One of these shorts was about anthropomorphic animals in a garage band. Each character was color coded, and I remember there being an orange dog, (I think he did vocals?) a purple cat on guitar (I remember her name being something obviously feminine, like “Katie,” but I don’t know the exact name), and a green chicken on drums who I distinctly remember was named Tanner. I want to say there was a fourth member who was blue, but I can’t for the life of me remember who or what they were, if they even existed.
- One short centered around the cat getting called on her phone in the middle of a session, and this (somehow, maybe it was better explained in the short) led to Tanner realizing she’s a girl. This changes basically his entire perception about her, while everyone else thought this was really obvious, and didn’t know how Tanner could be so clueless.
- Another I remember had a musical number that involved dialect differences between the United States and other parts of the world, and I remember they mention the “soccer vs football” thing. There was a running joke of Tanner misnaming food, to which the dog corrected him. (The joke that ended off the short was the dog saying “Crumpet, Tanner. Crumpet.”)
- The last one I remember was when Tanner’s dad Pete showed up. He’d made snacks and was talking to the other band members, and the orange dog mentioned writing the lyrics to the song they were playing. Pete starts reminiscing about his days as a drummer when he was probably somewhere around Tanner’s age, prompting Tanner to give Pete the drumsticks so that he could play.

As the intro went, the protagonist was a boy playing a Zelda-like game in the middle of a storm before his babysitter arrives, a lightning strucks and he switches places with the hero. Now he has to beat the game in order to get out, while the hero gets mistaken by a very obsessed him cosplaying and pretending to be a hero.
Every episode was a different video game-like thing. I think this was French and from the same studio that did At-Choo and Gawayn?
