resolved Seems a good idea... but there's the chance that someone already used it... so let me check first... Western Animation
There was a waterfall that shone the 7 colors of the rainbow and a machine that could convert this special water into gems... but I don´t know if it was a episode in some show or if a there was a show entirely built around this waterfall... I can´t remember any characters that protected said waterfall or the guy that created the machine that converted the water into jewels... and worst I don´t know why the machine seemed something false even if we are talking about an animated show...
My memory is so jumbled that for some time I thought it was a episode of the Disney Alladin series... but ended like the episode was about Yago the parrot and a special group of birds that doesn´t relied on humans and the waterfall was a barrier and wasn´t a rainbow at all... it was something created by refraction, a normal one...
Later I thought it was the Paw Paw Bears... but all the show is about bears and a magical pendant that gave life to a magical totem with bear, turtle and eagle... but didn´t find a rainbow waterfall nor a jewel converter machine... the other wiki doesn´t seems to know anything either...
resolved Trying to find a video game I saw a video of. Videogame
Oh boy, will this ever be a long shot. It's been long since I last saw this, so excuse me if my memories are vague. Also, yes, I'm trying to find a work that isn't a foreign TV show or cartoon of some sort for the first time.
So, back when I was younger, I saw a YouTube video of some kind of a video game. For starters, the video game was possibly a Japan-exclusive game, which probably explains why I can't find it. The game is a 2D platformer, and the levels looked like the insides of anthills, or ant farms, or something similar to those. I'm not sure what the player character looked like, but he/she/it could climb up walls in these anthill-like levels, so he/she/it was probably an ant. The only other thing I can remember is that there was also a world map, which was a big island, I think. As for what console this game was on, I certainly have no idea, but I think it's an arcade game.
Again, sorry for the extremely vague info, but that's all I can really remember of it. I really can't confirm if this was just a dream I had, but who knows? Happy searching either way!
UPDATE 10/01/24: I think this is, in fact, something I dreamed up.
Edited by SparkPlugTheTroperresolved Some cartoon about kids and weird rocks Western Animation
I remember this show about kids in a fantasy-ish world from around the 2000's where kids could summon creatures from rocks, and each of them had elemental powers, and there dark versions of other creatures... All in all, the more I think about it, the more it makes me think of a Slugterra prototype, except it was in traditional animation.
resolved Old show taking place in Ohio Live Action TV
The only thing I remember about the show was the end of its intro, where a voice would shout an echoing "Ohio!" I think it was a sitcom, but I'm not sure.
resolved Cartoon show
This show was about a boy whose father was one of those wrestlers with the mask s on the show was call tiger in Spanish or something like that the boy wanted to be like his father. His grandpa was a villain and wanted the boy to be a villain the boy had two or three close friends I think one of them was a girl. The the show might have been on nicktoons. The show was not very serious it was a kid show and a cartoon
resolved Looking for an anime title Anime
About a Canadian or American boy who died in an accident and his soul returning to earth where he has to share a body of a Japanese figure skater. One hint is that he was allergic to tomatoes.
Edited by alnair20aug93resolved Aliens Stranded on Earth Western Animation
So I vaguely remember a show from the late 90's/early 00's. It had a group of aliens that became stranded on Earth. They had this chair which allowed them to transform, and a weird transition that was a square spiral.
resolved Old Star Trek Game Videogame
It might have been based on the original series, it was a really old game I played early 2000s. It was a point and click adventure a bit like the Monkey Island series. I remember when you clicked on the wrong thing it would say 'nothing happens'. There were battles between other ships. There was an option to teleport a party to negotiate peace with another ship or a bomb. There was a scene where you took a severed hand to open a door with it.
resolved Animated movie for kids Western Animation
There was this movie that started out with people laughing at their besiegers trying to breach the castle walls, until the besiegers pulled out a really REALLY big cannon. A baby/child was taken away while the castle fell (and was raised by gypsies?). When he was older, at one point he tricked his way past a guard using some sleight of hand with a gold coin. There was a villain who had a tendency to get so ridiculously angry that a cannon's release valve had been fitted to his head, so he could "blow off some steam". I believe at one point he was put to sleep by someone grabbing him and holding the valve open. Anyone remember this?
resolved Shareware breakout clone Videogame
There's this game I played like twice as a kid, and all I remember is:
- It's a clone of breakout from somewhere in the Windows 3.x-95 era
- One of the blocks used a badly squashed graphic of a mouth with bared teeth and instantly ate your ball
- Probably because of the above block, it gave you a bucketload of balls, to the point of Meaningless Lives
- For some unfathomable reason, it had a transhumanist Author Tract in the about box
anyone else remember this?
resolved Webcomic about Zombie Discrimination (SOLVED!!) Webcomic
I'm having trouble remembering the name of a webcomic I fell off on reading due to impatience in waiting for each page.
It's about some guy that gets shot or dies some other way and becomes a zombie. The comic is mainly about his relationship with his fiancée and him facing discrimination by society due the unexpected feral-ness of zombies. Also, the zombie's have blue skin.
I think the comic was on the group Hiveworks, but I checked and I had trouble finding it.
Edited by TropeFanaticFanresolved White haired guy with psychic headaches (solved) Anime
I watched a fairly mature anime (there was smoking, drinking, blood, etc) on SBS anywhere from late 90s to the 2000s. Key points I remember:
- This woman goes to this private detective-type to find her brother
- The brother has white hair and he was having these massive headaches that cause him to kill people with Psychic Powers against his will
- When confronting the brother another guy takes off a cloak(?) and he is a man in military uniform with white hair. The military man reveals that the brother is actually a clone of him and he was sort guinea pig for the process for giving Psychic Powers. The military man boasts that the experiments on the clone allowed him to have the powers without the headaches
edit: found it, Goku: Midnight Eye II - sequel to Goku: Midnight Eye
Edited by jormis29resolved Thriller-type movie Film
I caught part of this film on Starz (either just the regular channel or a spinoff) while relaxing in a hotel a few days ago, and I would have caught the name if the schedules on the DVR were correct. Best as I could tell, it was a thriller film about a girlfriend and boyfriend being chased by this scary dude and the police, because they were framed/blamed for killing people when it was actually the scary dude.
One scene had them trying to sneak past the cops (New Mexico police, I think), but the guy got caught until the girl pulled a revolver (probably from one of the cops) and made the cop holding her boyfriend let him go, but then the scary dude shows up, there's a gunfight with one or two cops getting killed (by the dude), and the couple takes the squad car and runs away. They get into an argument with the Sheriff over the car's radio, and are being chased by a ton of police until the scary dude shows up again in a busted-up black Pontiac while "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails plays during the sequence, and the guy runs the cops off the road and then maybe the couple.
The last bit I remember was that the couple managed to hide out in a motel, they're staying in separate rooms, the girl's in a shirt and underwear, then she's attacked by the scary dude again, fends him off, goes outside, and discovers that her boyfriend is bound, gagged, and chained up to a semi truck and a trailer.
The scary dude is in the cab and driving the truck, threatening to pull the dude apart, the girl pulls the revolver on the dude, but he says that he wants to die and that if she shoots him, his foot will fall off the clutch and the boyfriend will likely die. But then the cops showed up, and that's about the point where I had to leave the room for the day's activities.
I have tried looking this film up on IMDB by keyword, but either this film is super-recent, or it's too obscure to have all the relevant keywords applied to it.
resolved Dinosaur Story Telling Western Animation
I recall a show about these dinosaur kids and they told stories, usually classic tales. I remember one was the Emporer's New Clothes, another was Rapunzel and another was the Midas Touch. Anyone else remember?
resolved Kids Show in a Department Store
So there was this show that was set in a department store, it was live action and had puppets. The two human characters were a female employee and a manicane that came to life when you put his hat on and said magic words. Does anyone else remember?
resolved Hercules game for the PS2 Videogame
I don't remember if it was for the PS 1 or PS 2, but in this game, you played as Hercules, Atlanta, or Jason and traveled around Ancient Greece, starting at the top of a mountain where there were cyclopses. Somewhere in the late game, you could go to the edge of the world, and if you died at any point of the game, you had to fight your way out of the Underworld.
I loved this game as a kid, and even if I didn't finish it, I remember hitting the NPCs with my weapon because it was funny watching them say, "Pick on Someone Your Own Size!"
Edited by TroperNo9001resolved Old sounding song with funny line Music
Ok, I remember in about 2009 or so my mom was listening to a song (not sure if it was on the radio or a cd) that sounded pretty old (40s or 50s) though it could have just been Retraux. It had a male singer, was slow tempo, and had some funny line which was something like : "If I knew why the roses grow, I would know why the roses grow." which both my mom and I thought was pretty funny.
resolved Victorian Steam Heists *Solved* Videogame
There was a game that i believe i saw a year or so ago on gog.com, but i cant find it there anymore. It was set in a sort of steampunk world, but you played as a human thief, and your goal was to clear out all the cash in each area by hacking into security stuff. I wasnt a very colorful game, but i think its art style was fairly distinct.
Edited by gert10resolved Island, man turning into bull, kids, weird boats. Western Animation
I'm looking for a cartoon I saw in the 90's in the Netherlands, though it's likely older. Anyway it's about this guy who lives on an island with a bunch of kids. Every episode the guy claims to have known someone famous and at least one of the children doesn't believe him. So they all go to a cave where some grumpy old lady gets convinced to give them a boat that references the famous person and they sail into a cave which somehow brings them to said person. Also the guy can turn into a bull when angry.

The trope page for Off the Rails has an example that does not have a work page or a link to it and I cannot find it anywhere because it has such a generic name. Does anybody know where to find the series that this example is referring to? The only other information that I have is that it is a web video series because the link to the nonexistent work page says web video.
The players manage to very quickly break their first quest during one of the early episodes of Role Play. Having retrieved a magical glass orb and an Infinity –1 Sword they attempt to have them identified before returning them to the quest giver. Since formal identification turned out to be too expensive one player decided to learn more about the orb by dropping it on the ground to see if it smashes. It did. Having failed the quest the players decided that they might as well ignore the quest giver and wander off with the powerful weapon. The GM sends an assassin after the party who seemed to be powerful enough to have killed them all in a fair fight, but they somehow manage to trip her and then pin her underneath an unconscious party member whilst impaling her through the arm. The following week the GM gave up on heavily planned quests and kept preparations brief since it was clear that his players were too unpredictable to railroad.
