resolved Deserted Island film-made-for-tv or movie Live Action TV
There was a movie or possibly film-made-for-tv I try to find the the title. Possibly made in the 90's. It was a bunch of teenagers trapped on a Deserted Island. It was mixed race cast, but I can't be sure. At some point, a bearded adult end up on the island and joins them. At some point, the adult say that things aren't so bad as he stared at the girls in a predatory manner. He eventually kidnaps one of the girls and the other teens rescue her. In the end, the adult is put on a makeshift jail and the teens comment, through narration, that they never thought that the first first thing they built would have been a prison. In the end, the teens learn to live together in peace as there was never any rescue. Any ideas? Thanks.
resolved That movie from the '80s Film
I'm trying to find the title of this old movie from the '80s I saw as a kid. I only remembered some parts here and there There was a man and a woman trapped in a mansion/castle. There's lots of traps and secret passages. The place was run by a very wrinkled old man with white hair. He monitored everything with secret cameras and a command console (I think). His large(?) daughter served as a henchwoman and she had a crush on the man, who was creeped out. The man and the woman eventually escaped and went to the the police. They frantically gave explanations on a board. The police was just too confused and asked them to take them directly to the mansion/castle. Many police cruisers surrounded the place and things didn't ended the way the man and woman expected. That's all I remembered. Any ideas? Thanks.
Edited by Nevermore2002resolved Hulk space adventure Print Comic
I remember having a Hulk comic book around the late 80s or early 90s. The story line started out with Bruce Banner observing a gamma radiation beam coming down to Earth carrying a woman with green skin. Then he sees these men with red skin come to assault and capture her, so he goes to assist her as the Hulk. Somehow or another they board an alien ship where they teach the Hulk their language so he can communicate with them when he gets to their planet. Long story short, the Hulk leads a revolution against the red people who have been using the green people as slaves and heads back to Earth on a one-way trip. As he travels home, he is able to look at the planet one last time and sees that the green people are now treating the reds as badly as they were treated. The Hulk weeps and the comic ends. Anyone remember which issue this was?
resolved Dramedy About an Old Widow Dating Film
1980s or 1990s comedy-drama movie about three elderly/late middle aged widows and friends in New York. One remained faithful to her husband, one decided to āsow her wild oatsā as it were, and the plot revolved around the last, who decided to start dating a local widower (and bus driver?). The film ended with the faithful widow dying, the unfaithful widow admitting she hadnāt really seen anyone since her spouseās death, and the third widow and the widower still together.
resolved cat with past life ghost trying to kill him to get into heaven Western Animation
I have already checked Cats Have Nine Lives, but I'm looking for a cartoon about a cat who's past life ghost try to kill him to get into heaven by possessing his best friend. I'm pretty sure either lives of or ghosts of is part of the title.
resolved [solved] Dennis Weaver made-for-TV movie about illiteracy Live Action TV
I'm positive that Dennis Weaver had a role as a truck driver supporting his family, but he was illiterate. His wife would have to make pictograms of his latest assignment so he'd know where to go and what to do. At a restaurant, the restrooms were labelled Sailors and Mermaids, and the trucker mistook the M in Mermaids for Men's ... whoopsie. It culminated in his trying to find the exit to Gloversville purely by the G, almost missing the turnoff, and causing a mother and her children to crash. He finally sought help by getting subsidized adult literacy classes. Does anyone remember the name of this movie? IM Db seems to have missed it.
Edited by oneuglybunnyresolved Island, man turning into bull, kids, weird boats. Western Animation
I'm looking for a cartoon I saw in the 90's in the Netherlands, though it's likely older. Anyway it's about this guy who lives on an island with a bunch of kids. Every episode the guy claims to have known someone famous and at least one of the children doesn't believe him. So they all go to a cave where some grumpy old lady gets convinced to give them a boat that references the famous person and they sail into a cave which somehow brings them to said person. Also the guy can turn into a bull when angry.
resolved Victorian Steam Heists *Solved* Videogame
There was a game that i believe i saw a year or so ago on gog.com, but i cant find it there anymore. It was set in a sort of steampunk world, but you played as a human thief, and your goal was to clear out all the cash in each area by hacking into security stuff. I wasnt a very colorful game, but i think its art style was fairly distinct.
Edited by gert10resolved Dinosaur Story Telling Western Animation
I recall a show about these dinosaur kids and they told stories, usually classic tales. I remember one was the Emporer's New Clothes, another was Rapunzel and another was the Midas Touch. Anyone else remember?
resolved Hercules game for the PS2 Videogame
I don't remember if it was for the PS 1 or PS 2, but in this game, you played as Hercules, Atlanta, or Jason and traveled around Ancient Greece, starting at the top of a mountain where there were cyclopses. Somewhere in the late game, you could go to the edge of the world, and if you died at any point of the game, you had to fight your way out of the Underworld.
I loved this game as a kid, and even if I didn't finish it, I remember hitting the NPCs with my weapon because it was funny watching them say, "Pick on Someone Your Own Size!"
Edited by TroperNo9001resolved Kids Show in a Department Store
So there was this show that was set in a department store, it was live action and had puppets. The two human characters were a female employee and a manicane that came to life when you put his hat on and said magic words. Does anyone else remember?
resolved Some cartoon about kids and weird rocks Western Animation
I remember this show about kids in a fantasy-ish world from around the 2000's where kids could summon creatures from rocks, and each of them had elemental powers, and there dark versions of other creatures... All in all, the more I think about it, the more it makes me think of a Slugterra prototype, except it was in traditional animation.
resolved Thriller-type movie Film
I caught part of this film on Starz (either just the regular channel or a spinoff) while relaxing in a hotel a few days ago, and I would have caught the name if the schedules on the DVR were correct. Best as I could tell, it was a thriller film about a girlfriend and boyfriend being chased by this scary dude and the police, because they were framed/blamed for killing people when it was actually the scary dude.
One scene had them trying to sneak past the cops (New Mexico police, I think), but the guy got caught until the girl pulled a revolver (probably from one of the cops) and made the cop holding her boyfriend let him go, but then the scary dude shows up, there's a gunfight with one or two cops getting killed (by the dude), and the couple takes the squad car and runs away. They get into an argument with the Sheriff over the car's radio, and are being chased by a ton of police until the scary dude shows up again in a busted-up black Pontiac while "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails plays during the sequence, and the guy runs the cops off the road and then maybe the couple.
The last bit I remember was that the couple managed to hide out in a motel, they're staying in separate rooms, the girl's in a shirt and underwear, then she's attacked by the scary dude again, fends him off, goes outside, and discovers that her boyfriend is bound, gagged, and chained up to a semi truck and a trailer.
The scary dude is in the cab and driving the truck, threatening to pull the dude apart, the girl pulls the revolver on the dude, but he says that he wants to die and that if she shoots him, his foot will fall off the clutch and the boyfriend will likely die. But then the cops showed up, and that's about the point where I had to leave the room for the day's activities.
I have tried looking this film up on IMDB by keyword, but either this film is super-recent, or it's too obscure to have all the relevant keywords applied to it.
resolved Webcomic about Zombie Discrimination (SOLVED!!) Webcomic
I'm having trouble remembering the name of a webcomic I fell off on reading due to impatience in waiting for each page.
It's about some guy that gets shot or dies some other way and becomes a zombie. The comic is mainly about his relationship with his fiancƩe and him facing discrimination by society due the unexpected feral-ness of zombies. Also, the zombie's have blue skin.
I think the comic was on the group Hiveworks, but I checked and I had trouble finding it.
Edited by TropeFanaticFanresolved Puppet used to frame midget for serial killings Film
This might sound a little weird but I remeber watching something on SBS. I don't remember if it was a movie or a tv show or if it was in English but it was live action
- The main character is looking into an old serial killer case
- At one point he finds a life sized puppet of a midget that was used to make it look like a midget was running away from the murders and frame the midget for the crime. The midget had a history of drunkness and violence.
- The main character connects the killings to lines in childrens book or poem. One of the victims was a farmer who got stabbed with a flute or similar instrument. He realises that this connects to line about a farmer working with his instrument and the killer didn't understand that instrument could refer to a tool. He then realises that the killer was a child because they wouldn't be able to understand that and it us why a midget was framed - to match up with the child height stabbing and wittness accounts.
- He then finds out it was a friend of his that was the murderer and the friend's father was behind the frame up
resolved Animated movie for kids Western Animation
There was this movie that started out with people laughing at their besiegers trying to breach the castle walls, until the besiegers pulled out a really REALLY big cannon. A baby/child was taken away while the castle fell (and was raised by gypsies?). When he was older, at one point he tricked his way past a guard using some sleight of hand with a gold coin. There was a villain who had a tendency to get so ridiculously angry that a cannon's release valve had been fitted to his head, so he could "blow off some steam". I believe at one point he was put to sleep by someone grabbing him and holding the valve open. Anyone remember this?
resolved Old Star Trek Game Videogame
It might have been based on the original series, it was a really old game I played early 2000s. It was a point and click adventure a bit like the Monkey Island series. I remember when you clicked on the wrong thing it would say 'nothing happens'. There were battles between other ships. There was an option to teleport a party to negotiate peace with another ship or a bomb. There was a scene where you took a severed hand to open a door with it.
resolved Aliens Stranded on Earth Western Animation
So I vaguely remember a show from the late 90's/early 00's. It had a group of aliens that became stranded on Earth. They had this chair which allowed them to transform, and a weird transition that was a square spiral.
resolved Looking for an anime title Anime
About a Canadian or American boy who died in an accident and his soul returning to earth where he has to share a body of a Japanese figure skater. One hint is that he was allergic to tomatoes.

I'm looking for the name of film. It started with a female tourist visiting Greece(?) or Turkey(?). Two men forcibly sell her some souvenirs, I think they were stones from a monument. At the airport, she is arrested for smuggling and end up in jail. That's all I remember. Any ideas? Thanks!
