resolved Live-Action thriller film about kidnappers Film
I only saw a few minutes of this movie, in about 2008 or 2009. This is what I remember:
- A woman was searching someone's house, not her own house.
- She found a room with videos and watched one, and realized they were videos of child snuff films. Whoever was living in that house was making them.
- The woman found a child, I don't remember if it was a boy or girl or if the child was her offspring.
- She was confronted with a man and woman who lived there, who appeared to be very average white adults.
- The woman was horrified by what was going on in the house, and she might have pointed a weapon at the couple while backing away.
- The couple wasn't violent, but pleaded with the woman for understanding, in fact they were apologetic and admitted they had a problem and needed help. I think the woman told them they were "sick" and they agreed.
- The woman still didn't trust them and took the child and left. I'm pretty sure it was at night as she left the house into the night.
This looked like a thriller or horror movie, certainly it had horrific themes. I don't remember any on-screen violence, but I'm guessing from the subject matter it was rated R.
resolved Rainbow Bridge Animal Shelter?? Literature
I've been agonizing over this for YEARS now, and Google apparently doesn't have all of the answers, so let's try here! I remember this children's chapter book series from when I was a kid. A young girl named Sam would volunteer or work at some Animal Shelter that I THINK was called The Rainbow Bridge or something. I vaguely remember there also being a rodent creature - either a hamster or a guinea pig - named Sugarspice. Unfortunately, that's all I remember, but I would be thrilled if someone happened to find the name of this series!
resolved Commercial for stress relief?
I remember a commercial where two girls were on a haunted house-style ride that showed stressful (instead of scary) situations. What was this ad for?
resolved Chinese action movie with a giant hovercraft at the end Film
I recall this Chinese action movie which at the end, a giant hovercraft rampages through the city, so the hero "borrows" a sports car and uses it to keep up with the hovercraft and uses a sword to cut through its skirt to try and stop it.
I think this other scene was in the same movie where the villains attach chains to a supermarket's inside and rip it to pieces from the inside.
resolved The Push Literature
Not to be confused with "Push" by Sapphire. "The Push" is a 2021 novel by Ashley Audrain about a mother who fails to bond with her daughter, who begins to suspect her daughter of unsavoury deeds.
resolved Top down Space Immersive Sim Videogame
It had its own article and you were either a bounty hunter or a rebel. I remember there were assassination missions you could do and you could completely blow off parts of a ship with the right tools
resolved crime tv show with apathetic male lead who finally gets affected by a crime scene Live Action TV
i'm looking for a crime/detective tv show from around the 2010s, with an apathetic male character who i think is the protagonist.
i saw a clip of this show on tiktok months ago but i can't seem to find it anymore. what i remember from this clip is: a team of crime investigators is standing in front of a large building, discussing the crime scene inside of it. they talk about how it was a especially horrible massacre, and i think someone warns them that the scene is so ugly that they're not sure everyone can handle seeing it. so, they call for this guy who's apparently very apathetic towards everything and isn't affected by crime scenes, and they tell him to go inside first so he can come back and tell them how it is. he comes back covered in some blood and looking a little disturbed by what he saw, and i think he passes out right after
i'm pretty sure he also says that there's no bodies inside, only the blood, which everyone thinks is crazy cuz the crime happened only a while ago and there is no way the murderer could transport all the bodies so fast.
i think the mc is a white guy with black hair, and the main cast also includes a black bald man and a white woman with brown hair (which i know is how the cast of every crime tv show looks like but anyways)
resolved Twilight Zone story Literature
From the "And Your Reward Is Infancy" TV trope, an example was provided, a story from the Twilight one. An ambitious man murders some aliens who move in next door and receive this trope by one surviving alien, he begs mercy for his family. The twist is now the man is one of the aliens. I searched this like crazy, but could not find anything. The most popular search I get for Twilight Zone and aliens is the Monsters due on Maple Street and that is not the correct story. Please help, thanks much!
resolved girl survives mass decapitation Film
i think it was an asian movie, probably from japan or thailand. the main character is a high school girl who was bullied. one day, her class was going on a field trip, and in the bus, i think the girl was writing/drawing something in her book, when her bullies wrenched it off her hands and threw it to the floor. as the girl crouched to pick up the book, the entire bus was suddenly horizontally split in half, decapitating everyone in the bus except the main character. i don't remember if this was a whole movie or just a horror short.
resolved A show about two boys and their sister Western Animation
There was this one show I watched as a kid where two boys play pretend and their sister is portrayed as an antagonist in their pretend plays. I remember the Frankenstein parody but nothing beyond that.
resolved Wacky Comedy Japanese Series About weird 7 in weird highschool shenanigans
There this weird show I can't remember the name but it's hard to describe. There's seven protagonist who have the same name going to this school because they might be the principal son. The generic guy (red), the crybaby (green), the delinquent (pink), the smart one (yellow) the samurai wannabe (orange), the model student (purple) and the narcissist (blue). Each episode they go undercover to a different school to solve something shady happening there. In the first episdo their learn a special move where they throw a punch and a spectral railway train comes out.
Its live action, but apparently is based on a old shounen manga.
Also, the school principal is doll who looks like Saint Seiya for some reason.
I remembered it today and got really nostalgic about it, but can't remember what it's called.
Edited by CulturedScholarresolved Astronauts locked on planet Film
Help me remember a movie about space, in begining was a group of astronauts, almost of them died in an accident, only a man and a woman survived. They were forced to stay on the planet without any things or food, and were forced to sit in some corridors or caves. The male astronaut, I think, was called Luka.
resolved Man turns into baby cartoon (still unsolved) Live Action TV
I thought it was a Betty Boop cartoon, but perhaps I am wrong. It was colorized, but was around that same era. All I remember is a quick gag, in which a snobby, gruff older man at least in his 50s to 60s is seen in a mall (an escalator is behind him, I think), does something embarrassing and he metaphorically turns into a baby or small toddler. We see faces (just faces) of some people gathering around nowhere as they laugh (a quick get together just for a brief moment). He does not turn back, I think the short just ended there. I looked up the tropes, Circle of Shame and Freelance Shame Squad, even baby transformation tropes, but found nothing. Can anyone please help? Thank you. I know I did not imagine this. It is not a Popeye cartoon.
Edited: I found it, it was actually a Little Lulu episode, thank you to those who helped!
Edited by thestormtrooperresolved I dunno Western Animation
an 2d animated animesque (specifically a similar style to Avatar and Voltron Legendary Defender) pilot that I saw on Youtube it started with a race between a boy riding on... something (I think it was like a big raptor bird thing but I don't know for sure) and he was racing against a giant talking cat, the two of them were bickering like brothers and the cat said that if he won the kid was having a bath, the kid said something along the lines of "no way! your sandpapery tongue feels weird!" then the race was done and some soldiers were attacking a village full of... all I can remember about the people living in it is that they were maybe on the heavier side? IDK and I think the kid was wearing a unitard and those soldiers had black armor?
resolved Dog movie from my childhood
A guy dies and leaves his inheritance to his dog. An evil woman wants his inheritance and is also a noble so she proposes her dog marry his dog. The dog can (I think somehow) talk to some kids and the kids are like, hell no, that woman is evil, so they try to annul the engagement. It was a kid's movie.
I don't remember the name. I do remember the dog was black though. I think it was a black lab.
resolved A native american myth about a boy whose uncles were kidnapped by a witch Literature
I remember an example of And I Must Scream on this site regarding a Lakota mythology story about A boy whose uncles were all kidnapped by a witch and dehydrated. As the vapors entered their bodies, they were restored.
Can any one tell me the name of this myth/story?
resolved Animated black and white Retraux commercial with a spaceship Western Animation
Several years ago (early 2010s) I remember seeing this black and white animated commercial .I think it was a commercial for insurance. It was animated in a style similar to Popeye or Bendy and throughout the commerical the characters were singing.
The commercial ended with the characters flying in a rocketship to the moon (or whatever).
Can someone please tell me the name of the commercial?
Edited by monkeyheroineresolved Movie starring a very old actress playing a supposed bombshell Film
I haven't actually watched this movie but I found it time ago browsing this site. It was about a woman who was depicted in the movie as being very attractive, with multiple suitors. The actress portraying her was elderly, with a lot of make up to try to make her look younger. I think it may have been an actress who was famous in her youth.
resolved YouTube video about luck and how lucky something really is

The general setting: A group of people using white hazmat suits are researching an abandoned building inside some forest. I only remember two scenes:
The reason why I have a hard time finding what movie it was it's because I don't recognize the language the characters were speaking: it's not english, spanish (or any romance language) and I strongly believe that is not german (based on what one character said). The movie looks relatively new (I mean, it doesn't look like an 80's film).
Other than that, I only remember that the woman in charge is named after a common english word (I think her name was "Love") and the word "hilfe" was constanly shown written on the walls, sometimes changing the letters to spell "lifhe" or "lihfe".
