open80s/90s horror movie, like Cocoon with Carrie Fisher? Film
This is a weird one because.. I haven't actually watched the film! This was a VHS tape my dad had as a kid, I never watched it because it scared me too much, something about it was eerie.
This would have been the early 1990s so it would be a <1980s/very early 90's movie.
The VHS cover was mostly white, sorta had a ghostly look to it. From what I remember of the blurb, it was something like Cocoon, with someone/something in a white cocoon and they hatch out. So a horror/scifi.
There was a still frame on the back of a person ( a woman?) draped in something white or maybe in webbing.
I could have sworn Carrie Fisher was meant to be in it, as I remember it using Star Wars to reference her but it might have been relating to something else. I tried looking for things she was in and I can't find anything.
My dad chucked a lot of his VHS out years ago so I can't dig through them to find out :/
openUnknown movie??? Film
So it was a movie where I remember some teenagers break into a womens home and just start hanging out and she gets Stockholm syndrome and just hangs with them. The part that always stuck with me is that randomly one kid just shoots her in the head with a shot gun but I can remember it looking real 😬. I think the movie came out in the late 90’s early 2000’s. I really hope someone know this movie!
openSome strategy choice game styled as a detective story Videogame
So recently I came across this app on an iPad where certain events would play out on the screen for a few seconds, and afterwards you'd have to chose from two or three options over how the lead character can cross an area safely. You'd have to drag a panel onto the mini-story to see how it goes. Also the game centers around this detective man/woman couple, and the game's mostly silent and shown in black silhouettes telling their story. Unfortunately, I can't quite remember the app's name.
I feel like you probably don't know either.
openAn online tamagotchi-esque game with dandelions [SOLVED] Videogame
It could be accessed through a girls' game website like Barbie.com or something. You raised these fairy creatures that lived in magical dusky gardens and there were grey dandelions.
Edited by LunarFoolopenComedy movie with superpowers Film
I think this was a comedy movie. A man's car was struck by a meteorite which gave him powers, one of which was that if he touched a book, he would absorb all of the knowledge in it for a very short period of time. In the climax, he faced off against the villain in a fight where they both tried to grab a book about fighting but grabbed one about dancing instead. The hero also got shot in the hands trying to block bullets from hitting a crowd.
openPLEASE HELP ME Live Action TV
I am going absolutely insane with the search for this show. I've been looking for this show for years. My sister is the only one who remembers anything about this show.
So I'm from Finland, born in 2002 so I think this show was aired some time before 2012. I remember the theme song in Finnish, in the beginning of it there was a lot of vocalizing the word "baah", like how sheep talk.
In the show there are people dressed as sheep. There is a boy and a girl sheep, possibly a toddler sheep. There is a mother and a father. There are grandparents, possibly an aunt and an uncle too. The show takes place in their house, there is no other environment (actually, there might be another environment. Or so I have been informed by my sister). They have a yard. They might sing sometimes. There was a tire in one episode. I think the daughter likes to dance. They possibly have pigs for friends.
If anyone cares, the Finnish theme song lyrics were: Baah, bah bah bah bah baah Bah bah bah bah baah BAAH baah baah bah bah bah Valoisaa, on joskus vaikeaa Me yhdessä olemme vahvoja Voit nähdä miten vaan Me uskalletaan Ja olemme yhdessä vaa-aa-aan Pe-e-erhe!
openOnline game with pink haired knight Videogame
I remember playing a game I found online where you played as a pink haired girl and could either become a knight or a queen? You did different things leveling up certain skills which allowed you to do certain things? I distinctly remember the cover art having the girl as a knight and that you could have jobs?
openCartoon Where Bug People Learn About The Human Body Western Animation
Was either a special on Fox Kids or PBS. Not the magic school bus. They may have been some other type of animal than insects, but they shrank down and went inside the human body to learn about it. The special I remember was about DNA, and the person they were learning about kept turning into different animals when they changed the DNA.

openDocu-Drama about the Manhattan Project SOLVED Film
I only saw a clip of it on an article somewhere about nuclear weapons. So the critical mass sphere is accidentally completed with a blue flash by some carelessness, and, without thinking, the scientist removes it by hand to stop it from reacting. He mutters out some technobable and concludes that everyone else will be fine except him.
Edited by dvorakopenUniquely sounding song sounds like could be strongly associated with a carnival/fairground Music
Hey, I'd been looking for this for a very long time. Basically, it's this song that, for whatever reason, sounds like it could be strongly associated with a carnival/fairground. It also evoked especially strong feelings of nostalgia, it might be related to a soundtrack of some sort though I'm not sure. I don't know if was a song traditionally/historically played in real life carnivals/fairgrounds but may've simply been themed around one. In my opinion at least, it was also a notably good song. I heard it in ~2008, in a vid related to someones wowTCG loot demonstration. Any help with finding this would be much appreciated as I've never been able to find it anywhere on the internet outside of that vid (now deleted/privated).
I also have a recreation of what I believe it sounded like, but since it's been 15+ years since I've heard it unfortunately it might not even sound like it whatsoever https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMPqrLJgmyE
.
Thank you
openJudge, tall bench, defendant standing, ruling, electric chair appears, pleads, killed Film
I need help figuring out the movie or TV show in which the following is a part of. I only remember a small scene of it; this was a long time ago (maybe even 10+ or 15+ years ago, but should be a release of after 1995).
I remember blue(greenish blue?) lighting in a courtroom. A woman was the judge with a white wig. A defendant in a tank top and shorts and arguing with the judge and at some point spotlight shows an electric chair being unveiled behind him.
The judge's bench was significantly elevated and lit with blue(greenish blue?) lights. as the defendant had to argue looking up. Then the defendant turns back and sees it and starts to describe his work history and how long he's been a part of some organization, but he's quickly interrupted by the judge as she yells "silence" and a then two men cloaked head to toe with something making them look like boogie-men and dragged the defendant to the electric chair and killed him (defendant pleads innocence throughout the whole dragging and killing parts). This electric chair was so simple I wouldn't be able to distinguish it from patio furniture (but metal with circular holes). And the courtroom was dark!!!! Like NO windows! At all! That's why they needed a spotlight for the electric chair because the back of the courtroom was pitch black.
While the man was being electrocuted the camera cuts to the disappointed looks of some people watching from some luxury looking rooms with hands to their forehead and the judge gave the occasional side-eye while continuing to write on her bench watching the execution.
It was definitely not a black and white movie. The electric chair was inside the courtroom behind the people who were there. The scene was extremely dark apart from the men from luxury rooms who were watching disappointed; it also had a serious tone.

openWhat SpongeBob episode is this clip from? Western Animation
A few years back, I was at a gas station, and these two kids were watching a SpongeBob SquarePants episode with this scene

openQuotes Film
These past few days, I've been trying to alphabetize GetAStupidAnswer.Live Action Films because it's starting to trigger a "too long" warning and it might need to be split soon. I've been alphabetizing by the film the quote comes from. However, I found a few that aren't Pot Holed and could use an identifier. What films do these quotes come from:
- Is that a moon?
- Who put the bomp in the bomp sh-bomp sh-bomp? Who put the lam in the ram-a-lam-a-ding-dong?
- "The power of voodoo." "Who do?"
- How you livin', chicken boy?
openStrange CGI Anime Anime
I saw a glimpse of this on You Tube once and never again. Some sort of 2000s Japanese animation, possibly an OVA, involving doll-like CGI characters (probably only doll-like due to both technical limitations and what happens when you translate a 2d anime character’s design into CGI.)
My memory believes that the main character(s) were dressed in the Japanese ‘Lolita Fashion’, albeit a bit more downplayed than most examples of such. Pretty sure dark, moody clothing colours and ribbons were present. The ‘animation’ was basically a slideshow of still renders with added voice-over and ambience. I remember checking the comments — and perhaps a tvtropes page — and seeing that the story involved prostitution or something like that in a somber perspective.
Does anyone know the name?
openmovie with an overdose scene Film
i've tried searching high and low for this a couple times before with no luck, but i have this distinct memory of only one scene from a movie that aired on tv (something 8+ years ago) that i glimpsed while channel flipping. all i can recall is a young man overdosing on some kind of drugs (i want to say it was pills) alone in a large bathroom stall. the room was bright and the scene felt very cold, including literally/color grading-wise. what also stuck out to me was some of the shots being from an aerial perspective. i'm fairly sure he didn't die, though i couldn't tell you what happened next. the scene lasted for a good little while and i was just captivated by his performance so i'd like to be able to actually know the whole thing! if i had to guess it would have been playing on a channel like fx, abc or tnt...
openThe Man Western Animation
As a kid I had a plushy whose name I could never remember (I just called him “the man”) but he was a cartoon character. I believe he was a giant with blonde hair with a big, Jay Leno-esque chin and a big, fat belly. He wore a dark green jacket and tights with a pouch around his neck and I think he wore brown shoes. I may still have him. If I can find him, I’ll post a picture. Please help!
openshow from around 2010 about junkyard
There was a short kids movie I would watch all the time. I can't remember exactly when but sometime around 2010. I remember it being on a dvd and having 3d animation, involving vehicles living in a junkyard. I have a clear memory of cars being stacked really high in the background. Any idea of what the show is?
