openChild protagonist rescuing her father in a mansion? Videogame
There's a video game, on the computer if I'm correct, about a child and her (I cannot remember what the kid's gender is, but I'm pretty sure it's a girl) father. And I'm sorry, but I only remember details about it, and most of them are spoilers, so I'm sorry if you know the game and I spoil it for you.
The two are on the road when the car breaks down, and they go into this creepy mansion. The father goes first, but the child gets worried afterwards, and goes in after him. She is accompanied by a small toy, that she can hear speak, and if I'm not mistaken, the toy is quite mean. Later on in the game, the girl finds she's been followed by a man who can turn invisible, then she confronts a woman and uses her fear against the woman, and gets away, only to be knocked out by the man who can turn invisible. This is all I remember from the game, but I'd really appreciate it if somebody could help me, give me a name of sorts, or at least let me know that you know about it too. Thank you.
Edited by PoeticInjusticeopenArt Game Videogame
There was a children's educational game for the PC that had talking animals teaching about art and little music videos about it. Only other thing I can remember about it is that one of the lyrics in a certain music video went along the lines of "still life... portraits... landscapes... ahh! what are the styles of painting?"
openSpace Shooter FPS on iOS Videogame
So There is that game about traveling on a colony of a long-dead alien civilization, only in the middle of your mission, the aliens suddenly appear out of nowhere, readings on your ship indicate that Sol has exploded a long time ago, and you have no idea what's going on anymore except that you might be one of the only humans left in the universe. It also has a prequel novel. I'd appreciate if someone reminded me of the game's name, because I'm stumped.
openPixel art MMO? Videogame
So I remember playing an MMO on Miniclip somewhere around the 2010s that had a crazy name. It was all one word and very hard to remember. I remember that it had pixel art and that you could buy/make snowball turrets. I also remember being able to transform into a slime for 1M coins (Or a similar amount) and then you could go around turning others into slimes. The goal was to infect as many people as possible within the time limit. If you were turned into a slime to could press a button at any time to transform back. There was a paper bag accessory that you could wear on your head. There was some stores and there was a glitch to get on top of one of them. I don't know if you had your own house or not. It might have been in an isometric perspective. I don't think it was Habbo Hotel though.
openToy based off of Math Blasters? Videogame
Did Math Blasters ever have any medium-sized electronic toys? I have (or at least I had) a toy somewhere from circa 1997-2003 that was a purple math edutainment toy. I remember it being space themed and featuring a young boy. From what I remember, it's battery operated and you click on buttons to solve math problems. I remember it being loud with a lot of pew-pew-pew type noises.
I think it might be Math Blasters related. I've never played a Math Blaster game, but I remember it being "Blaster" related. If it's Math Blasters related, then which is it based on?
openLooking for a game Videogame
Hi! Im looking for a game which I saw in a Pewdiepie video on youtube, back in around 2013/2014. I havent watched it since, so I dont remember much about it. Here it goes- It was a PC game, nothing too fancy whatsoever, wasnt made by any of the big game developers and certainly wasnt popular online (it was like a kinda one-shot game a youtuber would play once, and then everyone would forget it) It was bright and cartoon-y. And quite possibly pixel-y. It started off with two girls/women on a bench (in a park i think). They are sitting there and one of these happens- A) one of the girls turns out to be a 'demon' of sorts, who pretended to be the girl & disappears/leaves saying the girl wont see her friend again or something. B) One of the girls gets kidnapped by this demon and the same thing happens. Whatever happens, the remaining girl goes looking for her friend.
There are a few moments in the game, i think, of the 'demon' repeating this bench scene to the girl who is left.
At one point the girl is on a rooftop (possibly at night) and the 'demon' appears to her.
The demon didnt look like a 'hell' demon, which is all red and fiery. It was like grey or purple-y.
It was played by Pewdiepie in a youtube video anytime around 2012-early 2015.
Also, It is NOT- •Japanese style •An old style Rpg (like a gameboy) •A proper horror game •Any of these games~ -Misao -Mad Father -Corpse Party (I posted this on instagram and people said it could be those, but it was not so i decided to put those in)
If you find it, you are officially the greatest person on ymthe internet, and i wish you the most amazing life.
Thank you.
(Even if you find a game thats slightly dissimilar, please tell me anyway as it could help me find it. My memory of the game isnt too good)
openVideo game where "You are what you eat"? Videogame
I remember playing a game on miniclip with the premise of "You are what you eat". It had a Fez style of pixel art (The main character was very similar). Eating different foods gave you different powers (The only one I can remember is eating broccoli would allow you to fart as a double jump).
openExpedition (?) Game Videogame
There was an online game (I think it was something on National Geographic's website, but I'm not sure) about some adventurers exploring Africa, moving east to west and going to a village. Each turn some dice with images on them are rolled, and the images determine what happens; e.g. more porters join your group, a crocodile kills some porters, etc.I believe the game was called "Expedition" or something like it. Does it even still exist?
openWierd Dream Videogame
Last night, I had a dream about a rather odd video game. It started with a setting similar to Portal 1, minus the portal gun, being a first-person puzzle-solver in a lab environment. but as I (or whoever the PC was) got outside, it changed to a cliff-side setting similar to the game based on Disney/Bolt, and focused more on (laughably easy) platforming than puzzle solving. But the best part is that at the end, in a large crater-like gap in the cliff, was a massive whirlpool, easily 100' across at the edge, with the machine above it apparently causing it while also harvesting(?) the water that was sent airborne, as it created a faint waterspout effect despite the raging whirlpool below.
Edited by GofastmikeopenOld freeware game for Mac Videogame
This is a game my brother remembers getting off download.com in around 2005 or 2006.
You had three turrets at the bottom of the screen, and the computer had three turrets at the top of the screen, and there was an asteroid field in between; the object was to be the first to destroy the other side's turrets.
Objects would float through the asteroid field; he remembers some kind of space amoeba, and a flying saucer that moved up and down as it went across the screen. The graphics were above-average for the time period.
I know this is pretty obscure, but if anyone has any suggestions, thanks in advance!
openRoman/Norse RPG from the 90's/early 2000's Videogame
This has been driving me insane for years. I've even posted here before with no luck.
When I was a wee, wee kid with completely unsupervised computer access, my dad would get me a bunch of demo discs and stuff because we couldn't afford actual games.
One of these games was an RPG-ish style game. I *think* the graphics were kinda Fallout 1/2 ish but it's been almost 20 years so give me a break.
I don't remember a lot of the plot, given my english at the time was probably not the best and I mostly fucked around with the mechanics, but I have some vivid imagery:
1) You could strip buckass naked. It wasn't even censored. Just, dong on your screen. 2) I think it started with you at your house, and a maid/aid/governess would talk to you about something and then you could pick up your weapons and also meat. 3) It started in a town setting, with a woodsy area and a cavern somewhere. 4) You could kill everyone to steal their things, like clothes and money. But if you were caught, the rest of the village would attack you. So it was best to do it at night when everyone was asleep. 5) There was a big dining hall with like, roman reclining couches. 6) The fancy rich people wore purple. 7) If I actually bothered to follow the game objectives, I would travel to another area, where a priestess of some sort would talk to me and tell me that I couldn't continue because I had the freeware demo and to unlock the full version blah blah, let's go back to the village and kill all the rich people and take their stuff.
This has been bugging me for years. It's possible it was an obscure european developed title that never saw high sales and that's why I can't find a single mention of it anywhere. The most vivid thing to me is that it felt very sandbox-y which wasn't something I was used to at the time. You could wear the clothes of people you killed and such, you could eat meals and drink mead(?). There might have been bear fighting.
openTop-down RPG type Mac game with editor Videogame
This is a game for the Macintosh that probably came out in the 90s or early 2000s. It's a top-down grid based RPG. You can get weapons with different elements like fire, ice, and acid. Monsters spawn from portals in the ground and you have to find a lever to turn off the portal. The game comes with an editor, that allows you to add new monsters and items to the game, even having a pixel art function to give them graphics.
openBizarre edutainment PC game Videogame
It's vague, but I remember very specific points about it for some reason.
For one, it was based off science and botany (for that one, I think I remembered there being more on different subjects, but I could be wrong) it started you off in a room with some characters and a list of options (I dont remember all of them, but I do remember one where you're basically reads it out loud to you and ocasionally gives you a multiple choice thing to answer based on it)
The second thing I really remember though, were the songs...parts of them anway. i know two song names and one lyric from each. This is the part I'm hoping will help someone figure it out
That's how they grow: "Some plants grow in the hot, desert heat. Some plants grow in the cracks in the street"
This is how a plant grows: "They come in different sizes, they come in different shapes. A big, old avocado or a tiny, little grape"
openWeird Japanese escape room games? Videogame
So I just remembered these games I played some years ago, a bunch of browser flash escape room games by a specific creator/dev - I think the developer had their own site (in which case would be where I most likely played it) but the games might also have been on an browser game site under an "escape room" section, in which case they were likely also tagged with the creator's name. The creator was Japanese and I remember there being occasional Japanese text in the game (at least I think so? Not in anything that needed to be understood during the gameplay, but in game over screens, help menus and such)
The graphics were drawn in what I'd call a "simple but kind of unstylized" 2D style with no shading, and were overall known for being kinda... weird compared to a lot of escape games, in terms of having weird elements and imagery appear as background objects or items. A recurring element across the games (and a big part of the weirdness) were people just standing around various places for... no real reason, sometimes dressed in costumes (I think one game had a guy in a frog costume?) Usually they had nothing to do with the scene, but a few times they would also be part of giving you hints
Several (most?) of the games also had (usually obvious, but sometimes not) ways to die or otherwise get a game over, like pushing a suspicious button, walking into the wrong room ect.
Edited by ZanreoopenAn old school 2d platformer Videogame
- it's a 2d platformer game
- you play as a green/purple dragon/lizard (not sure about the color, but I think it was purple/green) btw- not Spyro
- you can shoot, specifically with shift (I know because sticky keys will always activate)
- there are ladders/elevators
openold point-and-click Games Videogame
I remember playing these computer games way back when I was a toddler in the early 2000's. This first one, which I think I played on a Windows 95, computer, was I think a compilation point-and-click game, but I only remember two sub-games from it. The first one was about a crying girl who I think was a princess, who you could cheer up by playing a painting game. The painting canvas was on a brick background and the paint buckets were below it. There was also a voiceover that called out whatever color you selected. This second game was about another kid who was supposed to clean their room. After they finished cleaning their room, a bright aqua blobbish creature showed up and explained through a song that it was a personified lie. It then proceeded to mess up the room again. Both games were in a style similar to the Humongous Entertainment game. The third game I remember was not a part of the other two. I played it on an old Dell model we used to have. The starting icon was the game's mascot, a yellow rubber duck with an orange bill. I don't remember what the game was meant to teach, but I think it had something to do with emotions. This rubber duck was often hidden in the scene and you could find it. What I remember most about the game was a section of cartoon people's faces on a blue background. This duck was hidden near the bottom of the screen on the last row of faces, and when you clicked on it, the duck would fall to the ground with a splatter sound effect. I remember finding that hilarious.
openGBA Game About an Ant? Videogame
I remember playing this a while back while visiting a distant cousin's house. I don't remember much, but the player character looked like an ant, but stood on two legs I think. It was a platformer, as I specifically remember struggling with jumping on small floating platforms, right to left (?) with a darker colored background. I think it was like, the inside of a giant tower? Any help is appreciated, I've been thinking about this for weeks.
openOlder Newgrounds platformer flash, something to do with not trusting the narrator Videogame
I remember very little about the game except the final sequence which I remember vividly. At the end of each level, you would walk into a column of light which would take you to the next level. The final level, however, would reset every time you walked into the light. To defeat the level, you had to wait in front of the column until the light dwindles and goes out, and you then walk through a corridor where the narrator delivers a threatening monologue as eyelids on the wall open as you walk past, until the final room where you are made to face your shadow that mirrors your moves.
opensci-fi rouge-like game i watched on youtube Videogame
The game kinda looked like straima and magic existed. The game consisted of exploring holographic looking space levels. there were multiple characters and i think the guy i watched play it choose a hacker/mage character. it was also in beta by the time i saw it.

I'm trying to find a game collection that I played a lot as a child. One game involved raising a cartoony flower by playing music and giving it water and sunlight. Another is a platformer where you play as a tree frog dodging raccoons and storks I believe. Another was a game where you had to make a chain for a knight and you had to do it in the least expensive way possible. Another was a point and click puzzle game about you trying to prevent a prisoner from escaping by handcuffing him, taking the lightbulb, or some combination of items to catch him in the act of attempting to escape. The last one I remember involved a person who I think is a traffic coordinator having to fix a broken traffic light while a dog who dislikes him is outside. I think you had to place a mirror in order to see the traffic light from safe inside the booth. I could never find out what to do next though.
