Find a Show:
open"Woo-hoo!"
During my 2010-2011 school year, I overheard something that someone else was watching in the computer lab. A man was saying something, then a group of people said, "Woo-hoo!" After some more things were said, one man said "Woo-hoo!" quickly.
UPDATE: I didn't see the video, but, to me, it sounded like cowboys having a discussion of some kind.

openVague Memories of a Show Film
Hi! I was directed here by a friend because I haven't been able to figure out what movie this was. My brain associates it with shark boy and lava girl but its not the same, maybe it has some similar actors? If it helps, this movie was something I watched when I was a kid, 16-18 years ago.
Basically, a young boy and his grandpa are wearing these suits(?), and they have their lives displayed on the suits..? Im not sure why they were there, but there was some girl as well and a mean-ish boy they meet, and they have to complete these tasks in this weird space/video game adjacent world, where they die and turn into these dust/pixels, and if they have lives they come back obviously.
I remember the grandpa dies and its like, really sad, and the boy has to continue without him. the older ish teenage girl drags him along basically. Maybe there was a giant robot thing they had to fight? I vaguely remember there were these platforms that would appear in front of them as they jumped like it would in a video game, and there was some big bad with a plot twist. I dunno if they were like trapped in a game or what.
I appreciate the help!
openBritish mystery movie about two brothers Film
This one's been bugging me for years. I get flashes of scenes after having seen the film on TV years ago.
From what I remember:
- The movie is about two brothers. The older one fancies himself to be something of a private detective and dresses the part with fedora and trench coat. The younger one is the more mature one.
- The older brother gets in some sort of trouble and goes missing or is kidnapped.
- The younger brother starts investigating and finds himself crossing paths with dangerous criminals. At one point, he's put in a tub of cement but is rescued at the last minute by police.
- In the climax, there's some sort of exchange for the older brother. Shots are fired and the older brother goes down, only for everyone to realize that he's not been hit and is OK.
I hope there's a troper out there who can piece this one together for me.
openI don't know what it's called Live Action TV
It was set on another planet, I think it was a desert planet, and the story followed some kind of law enforcement to protect the colony, or some people uncovering a conspiracy? I specifically remember a prodigy hacker who helped out the main characters. He was a teenage or college-age genius, and he was kind of lazy and got high constantly instead of "living up to his potential".
openShort story about a husband who killed his wife Literature
I read this story in an anthology and don't know if it's part of something longer or a short standalone. Original language is probably english (I read a translation and don't know if it's a British or an American story)
The story was told by the husband's friend, reminiscing about him. The narrator explains how he always used to be boisterous and a bit uncaring and probe to lose his temper. Then they lost sight of one another and when they met again the man was a shell of his former self. He seemed to have no energy anymore and he never lost his temper - except once when he saw a young boy taunting a girl and making fun of her for scaring easily. The narrator then proceeds to explain this change: he had gone away with his wife (can't remember if it was for a vacation or a job) in another country (probably India but can't remember). He loved his wife but was always making fun of her for scaring easily. At some point he got really annoyed because everything seemed to scare her so he decided to teach her a lesson. He made a model of a fake snake and left it in the living room. At some point he went away leaving his wife alone and closed the door behind him. He heard her screaming and knew she had seen the snake. He let her scream a bit and stopped the servants trying to get in because he wanted her to calm down. His intention was to go back in a while and show her she had been scared of nothing - maybe even laugh about it. His wife stopped screaming and he went in only to find out a real snake had crawled inside and attacked her. He killed the snake but it was too late to save his wife and he knew she could have been saved if he had gone in when she first screamed instead of wasting time being a jerk. Since then he had completely changed as the narrator had noted at the beginning.
openAPP Timmy time Western Animation
It’s a show about Timmy, Shaun’s nephew and his baby animal friends
openScience fiction series
I'm desperately trying to identify a particular episode of a British science-fiction TV series I vividly remember from, at a very rough guess, 20-25 years ago. I also can't identify the TV series itself, but it was broadcast in the UK (where I live).
The episode in question featured a man connected to a computer in some sort of lab whose dreams were externalised, meaning that other people around could scarily hear sounds, see images etc, related to the man's dream. The dream the man was having involved a woman in a nurse's or cleaner's uniform (who I think was supposed to be the man's mother from when he was a child) doing the ironing, a swarm of moths and another man in some sort of guard's or police officer's uniform entering the child's home and gesturing with his fingers to his lips for the boy to remain silent in the presence of his mother, despite feeling scared. There was also a particular popular song being played which I can hear in my head but which, frustratingly, I also can't identify - I just know that the lyrics include something like "...down the street" and "...brand new beat". The episode finished with a man and a woman who had been part of carrying out the lab experiment exiting the building and going into a car to drive off - one of them turned on the car radio, but they immediately turned it off after feeling freaked out upon hearing the same song coming from the radio as was in the dream.
I'd really appreciate it if anyone can help!
Edited by VoicelessKing489openOld anime about short and timid Futaba schoolgirl
This anime is quite old - about 20 years or so. The setting was high school and it was about very short girl with height angst. I think her name was Futaba but I'm not certain.
The anime was quite melancholic.
openWeird educational video involving an alien ship.
I remember 10-12 years ago watching an educational video in class back in school (2nd-4th grade). The video had a short segment involving kids on what I think was a picnic, before an alien ship came and sucked up all the water from the lakes. I think the kids then transformed very thin. There was more to it, but this scene was all I know about now.
It might've just been a weird dream though, since the information on this is rather spotty in my head.

openComic strip set in Canada Print Comic
I'm looking for a newspaper comic set in Canada.
The set up is that an American man married a Canadian woman and had a son and they decide to move to Canada and live with her father.
A lot of the humor derived from the American finding life in Canada to be strange and clashing with his father-in-law because of it.
opencosmic horror Print Comic
The story might be part of an anthology comic, it was definitely black and white despite being made and set somewhere after 2010. The main character has a job posting flyers for a restaurant, either sushi or ramen, and is attracted to a female coworker. The coworker is revealed to be a fishperson and in a Cthulhu cult, letting him impregnate her to create new "flavors". The last panel was Cthulhu stirring a big bowl with the milkyway in it implying he is literally cooking our universe for food
openAPP 2000s/10s song with male vocalist and guitar, one lyric ended with “Tonight” Music
It wasn’t a super upbeat and poppy song, was probably very well-known since it played on a station with other hits. It kind of had similar vibes to Lifehouse but it wasn’t them.
The lyrics were about a relationship I think, and it mentioned doing something with the partner “tonight”.
Edit: Tonight wasn’t the main focus of the song, it was the relationship
Edited by EeveeTraineropenFilm with Snake Charmer Film
I remember watching a trailer (or possibly a review or preview) in either the late 90s or the early 2000s, I don't remember much from it, but I remember two things vaguely. One being a (bearded?) Snake Charmer who gets kissed by the snake, the other being some kind of living gruel or other foodstuff or sludge. (Or maybe I'm wring and that's from a different film). I remember it being comedic. Anyone got an idea what I remember? (I don't think it's The Master of Disguise.)
openDad was an astronaut named Donor Live Action TV
I think this was live-action, from series or film. Possibly a murder mystery.
What I remember is some character was regularly dunked on by their mother for not being as good as their awesome (astronaut, scientist, etc.) father. And at some point it's revealed "in some papers I found my father's name, it's a funny name: 'Donor'.", implying the mother had actually gone to a sperm bank to acquire a DNA sample.
openno idea, sorry Film
it was a korean series on netflix, except it had only 3 episodes and it's not in my list anymore, so i think it was removed. It had themes of suicide and mental health, which korean shows tend to do really well which is why i was intrested in it. I believe the three episodes were three seperate stories, but i may be wrong about that, sorry if it's not much, it was a while ago and i really can't remember

In the 90s, there was a show called Video and Arcade Top 10. Among other things, it featured kids playing video games in competition. This is the show's first intro.
I can make out four games, but am having trouble identifying them. The first one I know is Ski or Die. The second looks like a fight from Base Wars, because the characters line up, but the background looks weird. A third game is about a guy on roller skates, and the fourth is some type of flight sim, but not Captain Skyhawk or Top Gun. They all seem to be for the NES. Can anyone help ID'ing them all?
