opencosmic horror Print Comic
The story might be part of an anthology comic, it was definitely black and white despite being made and set somewhere after 2010. The main character has a job posting flyers for a restaurant, either sushi or ramen, and is attracted to a female coworker. The coworker is revealed to be a fishperson and in a Cthulhu cult, letting him impregnate her to create new "flavors". The last panel was Cthulhu stirring a big bowl with the milkyway in it implying he is literally cooking our universe for food
openMagazine comic about breast cancer Print Comic
Begins with someone noticing a lump on her breast while having a swim. At one point, an event called the "buxom buttless blonde parade" is mentioned during a banquet or something. Shortly thereafter, the main character is chastised for certain negligence, and is ordered to find a different doctor and protocol.
openA single page of Mike Mignola artwork Print Comic
I was reading a comic book I think from the 90s, and each page was a different artist. It was something like a kid’s comic book, or at least one where you wouldn’t expect Mike Mignola’s dark style to show up. But one of the pages was him. All I remember from the page was a bunch of statues, or possibly corpses, with speech bubbles that only contained a single musical note.
openHad to burn the money not to freeze Print Comic
I'm looking for what I'm 90% sure is a comic, but it might also be like a television short from an anthology like the Friday the 13th: The Series or another Twilight Zone type show.
The story is, a group of criminals attempt to rob a bank or vault during the harsh winter. They manage to, but the Villain Protagonist betrays his friends to keep the haul all to himself. A series of problems make his attempt to flee fail and he ends up alone in the cold wilderness. The only way he can keep from freezing is by making a bonfire with the money he's carrying.
The following morning, he's finally found, half-dead. He gets away with the crime, but, in a Karmic Twist Ending, the money's all ashes.
openI think it was called like "captain invincible" or something? Print Comic
It was a superhero comic where everyone's powers were based on the comic book medium. The main character's power was the ability to jump between panels or send other objects through. He had a sidekick whose power was forced perspective based, as long as he was in the foreground he could pick up things in the background like cars, trees, and houses, because from the reader's perspective they're tiny. There was an old man who could beat people up with his speech bubbles, and a villain who had limited time travel because he could travel to the direct opposite side of the page.
openPokemon/Yugioh-like Action Adventure Fantasy Print Comic
I remember reading a comic about a young man wearing a headband finding a strange carved stone in the shape of an angel lady during one of his venture to the forest outside his village. Fast forward and his village was attacked by people looking for that stone, and in a fit of desperation cast/summon the spirit/beast/entity inside the stone to protect himself. The way to summon them is to hold the stone tight and call their name, and the protagonist learned that he has to listen to the entity's true name to properly summon them. I think it's Lucinda or some majestic-sounding name. The dust sleeve is brown/black with only the title of the series printed vertically.
It's perhaps of Japanese or Korean origin, maybe its' related to an MMORPG too but I'm not sure. It's a pretty niche, I think. So I know what the cover and the story is but I don't know what's the title of the comic and perhaps you guys would know.
open30s superheroes rescue 20s explorers Print Comic
A comic where 1920s pulp fiction characters (Tom Swift-like explorers) find themselves rescued by superheroes and are resentful of them being the next big thing in comics (they're being interviewed back home and all the journalists talk about is what was it like being rescued by superheroes).
As I recall it was part of an anthology rather than a standalone story. Might've been by Alan Moore, seems like the kind of thing he'd write.
open90's Video Gaming Manga w/ Gender Bending Avatars Print Comic
I'm trying to find the name of a manga I read 10+ years ago. Stylistically it looked like it was produced during the late 80's or early 90's (similar to Urusei Yatsura or Video Girl Ai). The plot involves a teenage girl playing an early MMO. During character creation she makes the unusual choice to use a male avatar. As a result the game engine grants bonuses to her stats (making her avatar more attractive and skillful).
openThis one specific comic strip Print Comic
When looking through the harmless freezing page on this site, I noticed an entry for a comic strip called "Beetle Bailey" where one of the characters falls into freezing water and is being melted about with coffee. I've been looking for this specific strip for a whole but I've had no luck, at this point I feel like it might not even exist! I was curious if anyone knows what specific strip this is or if they can confirm if it does exist so I can continue searching. I'm sorry if this doesn't follow the media finder thingy correctly but this is my only way of getting help for this.
openSpecific Batman comic Print Comic
Anyone know which specific Batman comic this from tlp is from.
Want to specify
- Batman: In one issue, Batman discovers that an orphanage his alter ego Bruce Wayne ran had been, behind his back, turned into a "shopping center" for perverts and predators. He confronts the orphanage's director as Bruce Wayne, saying it was his fault for not realizing sooner, but also determined to set it right again. He also gives the guy a hell of a right hook before the cops cart him off.
openGreen-haired cat girl? Print Comic
I remember picking up this manga from the library a long time ago, but the title escapes me. From what I remember, it was about a green-haired Cat Girl with white cat ears (that might've resembled the top half of a cat's head complete with eyes) and a Verbal Tic, getting into slice of life-ish adventures with another cat girl and a bunny girl. They might've been aliens too, I dunno.
openThe Greatest Story Never Told comic Print Comic
The Greatest Story Never Told has an entry about a Marvel series that I just can't pin down, mainly cause it's written as vaguely as possible (I tried to find it so I could rewrite the entry to be clearer).
"A six-issue limited series from Marvel Comics told the story of a normal human who was down on his luck and borderline suicidal who gets killed right as an extra-dimensional big bad is opening a rift with a magic artifact intending to unleash the embodiment of Death upon the multiverse. His resulting passage through the gate closes it and bonds him to the weapon making him immortal and causing him to be reborn into another universe anytime he dies as only the weapon can end his life. He eventually foolishly returns the weapon to the Big Bad after getting a promise to leave Earth alone and return him there but upon seeing all the deaths occurring, sacrifices his life and dies a noble hero to end the Big Bad's scheme once and for all. Meanwhile back on earth, you see the heartbreaking disposal of his worldly possessions such as family photos in a trash can while being called a worthless loser."
Any guesses?
openHidden Image/ Folding Pictures from Children's Magazine Print Comic
Year ago in a children's magazine (likely "Highlights" or a similar American publication aimed at grade school children) I saw a neat hidden image illustration of medieval town and castle built onto a hillside. The illustration covered two pages; when those pages were gate-folded inwards the image of a town transformed into a reclining dragon.
This was not a "magic eye" picture or a printed paper fortune teller that was meant to be snipped out and folded up - the pages were meant to remain stapled into the magazine.
Year of publication would likely have been between 2000 and 2007. If anyone recalls a similar feature printed in a kid's magazine or an artist that made illustrations like this, I'd be happy for a lead.
openPiece of Art depicting a yellow field in New York City Print Comic
This was an artistic photograph (found through the service DailyArt), where a woman in white was wandering through a yellow (presumably grain) field outside of New York City. It was mentioned to be made around the 1960s-80s, before that area was turned into housing.
The best way to describe it is that it’s similar to the album cover for Melanie's "Garden in the City
". It’s a similar angle and with a similar-looking woman.
opensheep princess in wolf's clothing Print Comic
adoro esse mangá,queria compartilha-lo nesse site, mas não sei e nem consigo criar medias aqui.
openRich Man Buys Things and Paint them Red Print Comic
A short comic, probably from an anthology - in a small town, the richest guy in town is driving around when he sees a couple on a date at a restaurant. He thinks the scene is romantic, so he buys the restaurant and paints the table, chairs and some of the floor red.
The townspeople don't mind at first, because they're getting the money. But, he keeps doing it in other places - a bench where an old man was feeding the birds, a swing in a park where kids were playing... the people start getting mad about him trying to buy their happiness and keep them from going to those places. In the end, they all storm his mansion and kill him.
The story's a bit like a Tales from the Crypt story, but it was probably made much more recent, maybe during the eighties or nineties. It might be from some european anthology, but if it is, it's been translated to english.
Edited by Mac_RopenHumanity becomes a giant blob after hearing alien signal Print Comic
Genre: Cosmic Horror
Publishing Date: Around 2010’s
Publisher: Unknown (Avatar / Oni / Image, etc)
The story revolves when Humanity starts hearing an alien signal from outer space. Anyone who hears the signal feel the urge to start merging together with other humans who have also heard the signal, in order to form a giant fleshy blob monster.
I think the story is also part of a trilogy of comic book stories by the same writer, including one where alien parasites (known as Red, Blue, Green, etc) invade Earth.
openBoy Genius Detective Brings Folding Chair to Dinner Party Print Comic
Manga/manhwa/manhua or graphic novel in English (art in b/w but cover may have been using purple or a shade of brown) that I started reading in a public library, but can't find it now: Starts with a strong Hogwarts vibe (although I don't think there was any magic involved) with Dumbledore-like old bearded man bringing a young girl to the huge multi-story stacks in the school library as her new job. She's to be the assistant to this introverted teen or pre-teen boy genius who's called on to solve mysteries but doesn't like to leave the library. He receives an invitation to a dinner party on a ship, and insists that the assistant bring a folding chair. It turns out this was a good idea because there aren't enough chairs at the table for her to sit otherwise. There may have been something about there now being 13 people at the table. Didn't get far enough to see what crime would be committed, but everyone else there was older and at least a few were rich.
openPost Second American Civil War comic Print Comic
Comic Publisher: Image Comics
Date Published: 2018/19
All I remember about this is what I saw on a certain comics website; The plot revolves around a young couple (one man, one woman) given orders to enter America after the Federal Government had effectively closed their borders and shut down all outside communications roughly ten years previously following a civil war.
The end of the first issue had them enter the country via New York City and being greeted by a diplomatic delegation.
Can anybody here please help me find out the title of this interesting comic…?

I'm looking for a newspaper comic set in Canada.
The set up is that an American man married a Canadian woman and had a son and they decide to move to Canada and live with her father.
A lot of the humor derived from the American finding life in Canada to be strange and clashing with his father-in-law because of it.
