openShow about witches. Live Action TV
I think it was something about "modern witches" or something like that. I remember an episode where they take care of a baby which is a human/demon hybrid. And the baby turned invisible when they played peek-a-boo.
openHelp me find this show Live Action TV
It's a live action superhero show following a teenager with a family of other heroes he gets his powers by putting a Superman like emblem on his chest, he has Superman powers but he's able to travel to the past when he farts, his design is just a Superman clone
openA Christian educational series for children from 1970s-2000s Live Action TV
Back in the early 2000s, there was an educational TV series that some parochial schools recorded on VHS. Film quality would have put it somewhere between 1970s-2000s.
Episodes were short, typically involving a priest (or possibly a Franciscan friar?) discussing various topics about Christianity and certain holy days in his office, occasionally using real-world examples and short stories to illustrate his lessons. Priest was a white older man, clean shaven, full head of hair.
One episode involved Friar Maximilian Kolbe during WWII up to his death at Auschwitz. Another involved a retelling of John 9:1-12 using clay dolls. A third involved a mother being stressed out by her children at the supermarket before later coming home and taking a moment to enjoy some peace and quiet under a tree.
Edited by WildfireAshesopenGame show that aired on 80s European satellite TV Live Action TV
A friend of mine once told me they remembered watching this game show — of possible British origin going by accents — that aired on a pan-European satellite TV channel (probably Sky or Super Channel). All they remember is that it involved a large board in a tic-tac-toe-like shape, and players would control the board (possibly from within, based on what they said). They remembered once instance were the players repeatedly shouted "left left left!" to try and go into the right direction.
Does any of this ring a bell for anyone familiar with British game shows of the 80s?
openkid's commercial for some cool bracelet Live Action TV
Back in 2013, I would watch My Little Pony a lot on a channel called The Hub. Almost every single time I watched it there was this commercial for what I believe was some high-tech bracelet, it went with a song which I don't remember all the words to, but they were like this to some degree:
"It's time to have some fun, (something) put it on your wrist and now you're number one!" "YEAH! Tons of awesome things to do"
I don't remember the exact name of the bracelet, but it kinda rhymed with something like "zoomer 2" or whatever?
It actually might've been a commercial for something else, and the bracelet was just synced with it? But I doubt it
There were I wanna say 8-10 year olds in the commercial. Mix of girls and boys I think
If someone can find this commercial on You Tube or find what I'm talking about somewhere I would really appreciate it!
openMysterious late-night show host quip Live Action TV
I commented out an entry on Why We Are Bummed Communism Fell for not mentioning the host who provided a quip on failed geography tests, with the quip in question being "Slovakia, which had been a country since, like, Tuesday, kicked our butts!"
Does anybody know which host it could have been? Judging how old the entry might be, it could be one who was active in the 2000s.
openBritish Series or Miniseries, Missing girl Live Action TV
I saw this on premium cable in 2019 in the US, but it takes place somewhere in England. The main character is a Black divorcee who is a former cop maybe, and he frequents a karaoke pub in his neighborhood. His daughter lives with her mother and step father and his large, wealthy family. He's important somehow, maybe government work. They live in a fancy area with a gate. The daughter goes missing after leaving a voicemail that she's visiting her father, and is last seen on video at a train station or on a train. So the father is suspected, and he goes looking for her on his own. The mother and their family go on TV to plead for information about the girl's whereabouts. Meanwhile, there's another character from the pub, a blonde guy, who has a secret laptop at his place that his wife doesn't know about which he uses to watch sick, dark web stuff of abducted kids trapped in rooms with live video feeds. The rooms are titled "fresh fruit", "bruised fruit", etc. Really awful. The main character wears a track suit a lot, he gets beat up late at night in a parking garage by a street gang, maybe robbed. He has a kind of casual relationship with a blonde single mother from the pub who lives in a nearby apt. complex. It shows how drinking kind of messes up his life, but he goes back into detective mode when the daughter goes missing. I only saw two or three episodes so I don't know much more except I didn't hallucinate it and have had NO luck with A.I. or exhaustive searching over the last several years. It was on cable TV like Showtime, Cinemax, Starz, HBO, etc..., and yet I've gone through seemingly every list and can't place it. It wasn't a BBC free to air show or anything, definitely an adult mature audiences kind of show. It was fairly recent then though, so I'd place it between 2014 and 2019. The owner of the karaoke pub was a maybe mid to late 40's woman with big, frizzy hair. I thought it was Alex Kingston but it wasn't. I didn't recognize any of the actors but they were all good in it. The main guy is suspected at first but I think he tries to solve it on his own, I think he tries to visit his ex wife's house. It's not 'The Missing', 'The Capture', 'The Five', 'The Tunnel', 'The Rook', 'The Last Train', 'The Fall', or 'Gangs of London'. Those are what these supposedly "amazing" A.I. tools have come up with. I know a real person out there has seen this and can help me though. So it could be a co-production somehow but I saw it on a movie channel in the US. It didn't seem like more than like a 6 to 8 part miniseries but I can't be sure. I think they probably figure something out through the blonde guy who watches the dark web stuff but I don't know if he's directly involved. It's SO STRANGE that there seems to be no trace of this show. I watched at least two installments of it and things got busy and I never wrote it down or anything because I figured I'd just see it again somewhere. And now I can't even find evidence that such a show existed. I appreciate any assistance. Thank you in advance.
openShow with quote about movies Live Action TV
I saw something in the last couple of years where there was an exchange like this:
Man: (in response to Genre Blindness) Haven't you seen a movie?
Woman: I've seen a movie, not every movie, like you.
I'm pretty sure it was a sitcom, but it could have also been a You Tube comedy sketch. I don't remember what they looked like or what trope was being discussed.
Edited by PPPSSCopenDark Fantasy High School (?) show that WASN'T Buffy (I don't think) Live Action TV
Title says it all. I'm looking for a show where I BELIEVE the main character is a man and it looks like it was in high school or college...the person in the scene I vaguely remember was a white male, that much I know. He was confronting some evil woman and she disintegrates and then the male cuts himself as I believe his parents come in and maybe he feigns that he was hurt, I dunno. I don't think it was Buffy but I could be wrong. It's POSSIBLE it could be Supernatural but it feels like it came MUCH earlier than that. I was almost a toddler or a very young kid when it was on air. If anyone knows what episode of a TV show it was, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Edited by hackdashopenBritish TV Variety Show - early 1980s Live Action TV
British TV show which involved a series of dance scenes set to old show tunes. Theme was quite 'grown-up', with one scene involving a society lady performing a striptease (she was in a red suit IIRC). Pretty sure it was a one-off.
openIndian tv show opening Live Action TV
There is a great Indian TV show opening that I just can't get out of my head but I can't remember the title. I think the TV show was around 2005, it's an absolutely banger opening with CGI showing various animal forms, Hindu gods, and statues. The music starts with a woman singing solo and then, boom, the awesome music starts and people start singing, there's a male solo in it too.
openPossibly Canadian Show About an Alien Girl Who Looks Human or Disguises Herself as Human Live Action TV
The main characters befriend a girl who is an alien. I think they may have used a valve in their school’s boiler room to go to a different world? In a scene from the commercial she drinks orange juice by sticking her finger into it. She may have an alien form but disguises herself as a human and when they go to the other world she is an alien? This would have been on TV 15-20 years ago and I watched it in Canada, possibly on YTV but I’m not certain.
openWhat episode is this? Live Action TV
This is an entry on the page Mourning Apparition:
- NCIS: One episode during the Port-to-Port Killer arc was told via flashbacks, with the Framing Device being Gibbs discussing the episode's events with Mike Franks. At the end of the episode, it's revealed that Franks is lying on the mortuary slab next to Gibbs, having been murdered by the Port-to-Port Killer, and Gibbs was imagining the conversation as a means of processing his grief.
Does anyone know which episode this actually is?
openOld Pilot film Live Action TV
I remember an entry on trope pages I think were related to Adaptive Ability or some other trope about teleporter merging. It was about a pilot episode or film that aired on one of the older alphabet channels like CBS, NBC, or maybe even PBS. Not sure if i misplaced where the entry was or it got deleted.
It was about a man who accidentally combined with a space probe due to a teleporter. Though outwardly human, every time he was distressed the probe responded by extending mechanical parts that reacted violently to the cause, that evolved the more often it happened. It gradually ate away his humanity and replaced his mind with the cold intellect of the machine. Found it on YouTube, but it's buried in my history and I can't recall the program it's from.

openKorean Drama where the hero turns down the love intrest for his best friend Live Action TV
A long time ago I was stationed in Korea and there was a historical K-Drama on.
There was this area with a huge fight and the hero and his best friend finally win.
Hero looks up and the love interest is all demure and not really saying much.
The Dad - who likely arranged all this - is FUMING that the Hero is still alive.
Hero gives a "I'm tired of this shit" look and he and his best friend (who helped him win) walk off into the sunset while the love interest looks on crushed.
Me being a cynic at the time found this HILARIOUS - "bros before hoes" indeed.
What was this K-drama?
openMind Reading Woman Live Action TV
Not a lot to go off of, but there was a show of a scene from a show or movie (possibly early to mid 2000s) where a man and a psychic woman were walking. The man was talking, but before he could finish, the woman would read his mind and finish his sentences. At one point the man got frustrated, and started asking her to stop, but she finished that sentence too. Can anyone help me remember?
openGhost show where guy pushes lady out of the way as he runs off Live Action TV
It’s been years since I’ve see this show like around 2000s but I remember a ghost show where they were in like a castle/big house. It was the ‘medium’ Chip’, a dude and a lady. The dude was acting all macho telling the lady he’d protect her but when Chip acted ‘possessed’ (I think) the dude whipped around, shoved the lady out of the way, and ran out of the building
It was a running joke between me and my mom so I was wanting to see if anyone knew the name of the show. I remember Chip being a constant but he had people join him at different locations
openAn arts-and-crafts TV series for kids Live Action TV
I remember watching a possibly Australian arts-and-crafts show in the vein of Art Attack, which also includes cooking. There are always 2 presenters in each episode. I distinctly remember the show teaching how to make hedgehog-shaped baked mashed potato cakes with pasta filling, realistic cardboard trash cans wrapped in aluminum foil, cauldrons made from plastic bags, apple leather, and fortune cupcakes.
ETA: IIRC the show's logo is a hand, and I remember eyecatches featuring lots of hands.

It was a period drama with a young queen to be and a lower class person. And they shared a bonding moment together when they both held a frog. I think the setting for this particular scene was outdoors in a garden area. The characters weren’t alone and there were some royal court workers. I noticed the queen had on historically accurate clothing as well as the man. Also, the queen had little to no eyebrows so I think that points to what time period it was set in. However, I can’t remember much about the character’s names or plot.
