Years ago (in the 80's I think) I saw a really bad movie on late night TV. It was a futuristic space movie with an alien that was killing people. I think the alien was pink with tentacles (like Krag from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
At one point the alien has a few crew members cornered and is about to kill them as the teenage punk rocker crew member is holding up her hand with a Michael Jackson silver glove.
The alien then has a flashback to its childhood as a little alien brain creature and its care taker is a metallic, heavy duty, gauntlet type glove that feeds it and tickles its tentacles...
Please tell me I didn't hallucinate this and the movie actually exists!

This was a science-fiction movie from the 1960s or 1970s. I saw it on TV around 1980 and I don't remember a whole lot about it, but here's what I do remember:
The movie is in color and it was set in the future. There was a civilized society that lived in a city with all kinds of technology and there were people outside the city who were like savages. For some reason, the city takes in this full-grown man and his mother. They try to assimilate the man and his mother into society. The mother dies and the last the son sees of her is when she's fed into some kind of machine that takes care of the dead bodies. He watches her pass by on a conveyor belt through a glass window. After that, I think he escapes back to the savage community he lived in before.
Any help is appreciated.

There was this really strange movie I saw about a year or two ago that was ether from Russia or Hungary. It was about this family who sheltered their three kids super hardcore- they hid the telephones, only using them when the kids were asleep. They taught their kids things that were ether outdated or just plain lies, like that domestic cats were blood thirsty monsters and at one point, they become frightened of a cat that wandered into the back yard and stright up kill the cat brutally. They were all teenagers that were wanting to be free, but at the same time they were frightened because they had never been out into the real world, ever. At one point the dad brings in this young woman who ends up sleeping around with the son and showing the older daughter all of these movies like Rocky and you know enlightens them. At one point the daughter gets so frustrated that she goes into the bathroom with a bar bell, and hits her mouth with it, and takes her broken teeth out, and reenacts the boxing match from Rocky. Later, she or the other girl runs away, by getting into her dad's car's trunk and her dad goes out looking for her, and a week later its hinted that she's dead and still in the trunk of the car and her dad hasn't found out yet.

Late 90s or early 00s, I'm pretty sure it was a movie in which people had these numbers that counted down to their death. Upon reaching zero, spirits of the dead or the grim reaper or something would suddenly appear and yank the victim's soul from their body. Not much else that comes to mind at the moment... I'm pretty sure there were scenes in a cemetery and a car crash though. Also, fairly certain it was either shown on television quite a few times (possibly during Halloween) or it was a made for TV movie.
edit: Ah, looks like I found it. The Frighteners. You'd think I would have been able to remember a movie with Michael J. Fox in it. I guess 6 year old me just wasn't aware of actors...

It's a You Tube series, with a witty cynical British (possibly Australian) man talking about some topic with a black-and-white (or possibly not) animation illustrating what he's talking about. One episode was about Scientology; another one was about authority, describing it as a cycle where the oppressed become oppressors. The name might have been "Studio" and a letter and a number, but I can't find it.
Okay, typing this out helped me remember: it's 1A4 Studio. I guess I'll post this anyway in case someone else comes here trying to find the same thing.

I remember watching this really weird animated movie as a small child. Okay, here goes: The main character is a male white lion, and he has some random friends, including an elephant. Then a bunch of animals get sick with this disease that makes them break out in purple spots. To save the day, some person comes and cures all the animals. Then in the next point I can remember the main lion is all grown up and a few hunters are trying to track him down. That's all I have.

A friend of mine can't remember the title of this movie.
The plot concerns that Earth's atmosphere and stratosphere (or something) is on fire and will consume all surface oxygen in a cruelly short amount of time, so the governments decide to launch their nuclear missiles at the polar ice caps to unleash some kind of blizzard to cool off the planet.

Saw this in probably fifth or fourth grade, so about 1995-96. It was a film or TV show episode with a futuristic house, and I think a robot was involved. One scene had a chute that would dispense candy. At one point, things go on the fritz, the robot starts talking in a distorted voice, and the candy dispenser starts spitting out candy like crazy. That's all I remember.

It was a movie I watched in music class many many years ago, but I, for some reason, had it on VHS as well. It was about Beethoven and he was living in this kid's house (It wasn't like time travel or anything, it took place in the era). Pretty sure some bullying from school kids went on.

Does anyone know what horror movie is seen in the You Tube video link below?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dODptgTDZPs
The clip begins at 0:13 and ends at 0:44
This clip was incorporated into somebody's comedy video, so the two people speaking over this clip (as well as the rest of their video itself) aren't relevant to my inquiry here.
So, if anyone does know the name of this movie, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

There this animated Batman movie i wacthed once. I remember three scenes:
1.Batman is escaping the police, and as he ducks into the shadows, the police team just opens up with their assault rifles, and keep firing for at least ten seconds, probably longer. (I wanted to add this to More Dakka)
2.A corrupt police officer beats up a homeless person, and Batman is not pleased.
3.There is a hospital, and a female doctor is doing that chest pumping thing.
Does this ring a bell, anyone?

When I was little, I used to watch this educational film that was about water and the water cycle and whatnot. It talked about precipitation, rain, snow, water, etc. The show began with a single rain drop—or maybe a snow flake—falling from the sky and then it panned in on this little groundhog/beaver animal who was walking to his house. Once there, he turned and addressed the audience and talked about water. I remember there was a glass of water. This film would have been made sometime in the 80's or 90's and may be British or American—but it was in English.

Hi everyone...I was wondering if anyone knows how these movies are called, I watched them around 2002-2003. The only thing I remember of both films are the following:
1. A film about a children's team of some indoor sport (basketball, hockey, etc.) who were going to play the championship on a large arena. However, the team's captain was jealous because his mother was going to have a new baby. In the day of the championship, the team convinces him to play, while his mother is watching the game from the hospital..she even cheers her son while giving birth at the same time. In a bit of a cliché, the baby is born exactly at the point the game ends and the boy's team wins the championship.
2. This was a drama/mystery movie I think, which I only watched a bit of it while channel surfing, this is what I remember: A thug had kidnapped a pregnant woman and put her in his van, the thug drives to a forest, and then takes out the woman (who has gone into labor) apparently to abandon her in the forest, but then the hero of the story appears and fights with the thug until he is knocked out under a bridge (I think). The hero then goes to the woman and assists her with the birth of a baby girl. I think a later scene showed that the hero and the woman had married and were raising the baby together.
That two scenes have been stuck in my mind since then, I'll really appreciate if anyone knows about these movies, thanks.

OK, it was about a 17 year old kid who did debate and was in the running for some kind of big scholarship, but then he finds out his girlfriend is pregnant, even though she was supposed to be on the pill. other details: The kid recites a short story about a young kid, about 5 or 6 years old, who's father left his family in favor of playing golf and said something along the lines of "You don't need to get to know me, cause one day you'll be me".The kid had an uncle who he considered a good father figure. It's implied that his girlfriend tried to pull the baby trap. The girlfriend's father was verbally abusive and called her a tramp. The kid said that he always felt sorry for her for the way her dad treated her and that being sorry for her felt like loving her.

I watched a show a while back that I believe is either late 90's or early 2000's. It's about this guy who has been alive since he went to the New World with a spanish armada and fell in love with one of the natives. Ever since then he has repeatedly found and lost the same woman throughout time along with having flings with other women. The show revolves around him being a detective in current day living in the back of a bar owned by his son, who is a black gentleman older than the main character appears to be. It covers his memories from various time periods that he has lived through. Also, he names his dogs numerically because he has had so many. I think it was the last episode the the show ended with his son playing piano and singing "Nature Boy". It crushed me that the series was only one season long before it was cancelled. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the show. I think it was on hulu once, but I could not find it on there now.

In the late 90's, possibly the early 2000's, I saw part of a film on TV in which ghosts were real, and the main character had a friend who was a ghost. There was some kind of entity 'killing' ghosts. The only thing I concretely remember was that there was a scene where two characters were standing outside a building next to a car. There is a noise from inside the building, and the ghost friend comes flying out and lands on the car, 'dead', with a wound on his head.

I remember borrowing this movie from a library a few years back (so it's not that old, 1990+) It's Asian, but I can't remember the language. It involved parallel worlds, and the main (male, teenager) protagonist is transported from ordinary life (World 1) to another, almost identical world (World 2). Every year (?) in World 2, they organize this event where everyone with a particular name (the same name every year, and this so happens to be the name of the protagonist)is hunted down and chased for 3 days. The protagonist and people with his name have GPS in them, so are forced to keep running, not just camp somewhere.
The protagonist's sister in World 1 is in a coma, and her doctor is *ridiculously* creepy towards her. In World 2, the doctor is leader, and keeping the sister hostage. If someone dies in World 2, their parallel self also dies in World 1. The doctor is trying to find the protagonist, so is regularly hunts down everybody with the same name as the protagonist.
The parallel worlds concept is explained with a chess metaphor at some point, I think. And the masks worn by the chasers reminds me of the spy masks worn by the Raving Rabbids.
Thanks in advance! :D
